Lebanon should have not allowed Hezbollah to exist there. When the Israeli soldiers were taken, Lebanon should have extracted them not sat back and watched. Israel should not have responded in the way they did. It was almost like they are letting a couple lives cause 1000 more to die, isn't life the reason they went into the conflict? They are both wrong and personally I think the US should let Israel fight this one alone. We definitely don't need to get involved. I think it would be ridiculous for us to go over and try to take on someone else. Bush's 2 wars are enough for any presidency.
And don't give me that crap about Israel should have allowed the soldier swap to happen again. That's like saying I stole some clothes from the store and the cops didn't just let me return it and go on about my business. I can't get mad for them arresting me if I broke the law. The right thing to do was NOT TO KIDNAP THE SOLDIERS. But if you do, you can't get mad at the response. At the same time, an outsider can look at the response and say it was too much. It's all about perspectives I guess.

Hezbollah is NOT Lebanon. You MIGHT be able to make an argument that Hezbollah is in the wrong in the conflict between them and Israel, but you absolutely cannot blame Lebanon. Israel has done about 20 times more damage than Hezbollah has done and it has all been against the citizens of Lebanon, not Hezbollah. They are essentially telling Hezbollah that they will continue to pummel an innocent country unless they get what they want from a group of people that do not represent that country. Just? I say no.
You cant blame Lebanon's government for the existence of Hezbollah in their country either because Hezbollah has been entrenching themselves in Lebanon since 1982 and the government was only formed last year. they don't exactly have the leverage to get rid of Hezbollah.
There are probably just as many Lebanese soldiers who have been killed as Israeli soldiers. The difference is that Lebanese soldiers aren't fighting against Israel, and that's not even saying anything about the hundreds and hundreds of civilians who have been killed. Who's wrong between Israel and Lebanon? Israel.

Israel Occupies Lebanon territories
Israel Attacks Lebanon for the seventh time
Israel has many Lebanese people in captivity
Lebanon is RIGHT
Israeli Government is arrogant and aggressive. (many Jews inside and outside Israel is opposing this including former Israeli Soldiers who refused the killing of civilians and who i personally respect a lot, i hope soldiers around the world would act the same, and then we might have a peaceful world and we might not have any desperate mentally retarded people who wish to be martyrs just to get even with Israel)
on the other hand: Hezbollah has NO right to attack the Israeli civilians.
i feel sorry and sad for the civilians on both sides

I think Israel is in the right, here. One thing to consider, however, is that Israel is not necessarily fighting against Lebanon, they are trying to root out Hezbollah (probably spelled wrong).
The fact that Israel is having to defend itself and is constantly at war with its neighbors should not be a suprise. Take a look at the Old Testament in the Bible and you will see that Israel has always been at odds with the surrounding countries and factions.

Israel is right. Hezbollah (Lebanon) Kidnapped soldiers, sent about 100 to 150 rockets a day into Israel, their charter is solely based on the destruction of Israel.

Both are radical fanatics although Israel pretends to be the civilized nation fighting for its existence,, is run by the right wing who always look for ennemies to fight , why did Israel withdraw from southern Lebanon in 2000 knowing very well that it has ennemies there ,, isnt it to wage this actual war in 2006 and occupy southern Lebanon again ? the right wing who made ww2 dont want peace and unfortunately are running Israel today,, Israel knew very well that Hezbollah was formed since 82 and didnt do anything to stop it since,,,, it was waiting for it to become strong to fight it ? yes ... it let it grow and become strong !!!
the region is run by the right wing propaganda machine would never have peace ,, adieu peace and who is paying the price : the poor Lebanese people and the lebanese civilians

It depends who has been violated and what are their reasons for such aggressive action.
Actually, I thought the war was between Palestine and Israel but the scenario has changed completely and I do not know the reason why the war has shifted. THere must be something to it that I do not understand.
It cannot be just for the two soldiers captured. The anger shown s for a lot more pain than the capture of two soldeirs. If every nation starts destruction of this nature in retaliation of its soldiers being captured, we would not have many places in the world intact.
Such aggressive action takes place only when there are gross human rights violations.

The kids are right because they are innocent. They need to be out of the middle of the war. War is not correct. No one wins. It is just sad. I feel sorry for both. I used to have unconditional acceptance for israel being what I was fed by the media, but I am maturing and relize that there are 2 sides and human injustice happens on both sides. An american got killed by israel for protesting for palestine run over by a tractor, israel shot ambulances and parametics in labanon, yet they are victums of abductions and murder and human bombs. America is sending weapons. No one is right. War is wrong. Peace and Humanity are right in an ideal world.

Neither. To paraphrase Princess Leiah, "the more you tighten your grip, the more will slip through your fingers". I'm surprised at how often that phrase has been applicable...All the Hezbollah are interested in is the complete and utter destruction of Israel. All Israel is interested in is maintaining its appearance of strength. This started with 2 soldiers being abducted. They're both bullies and both wrong.
