they say it is pcm,others say it is throttle body.
but the engines once started,has a fluctuating RPM and knocks. so not able to drive

ford escort is an outdated model, if u get it repaired also you wont be satisfied with it coz there's lot of new cars in the market with cheap price-second hand cars. So sell the car as soon as possible coz it might not fetch u the same money in the future...........

I cant say for sure, but most escorts that stop running is from a broken timing belt. Also replace the water pump as well. Pcm hardly ever cause a car to stop running. I would look at other things first.

Where did you go for that PCM? Ford will charge about $400 for it but usually you can pick it up from Autozone and the others for just over $100 with a warranty.... the junkyards sell electrical as is

You might try junk yards for PCM then this site tells you how to remove and re-install.

get a used processor, or pcm
