he's a friend. we have known each other for quite a while (via work) but are both recently divorced. we have never been out socially with the work-group (except for lunch). i have been reluctant to ask him out b/c if he says "no" it might mess up our friendship. we play tricks on each other often and it seems we are both flirting somewhat but i can't tell if he's moving in that same direction. i thought if i waited until he asked me out, that might be better. however, he is a bit shy. THOUGHTS, anyone?

rule number one: never date a person who works in the same company as you.

Try finding another job and see if your relationship endures.

sounds like hes interested to me. I'd say just for kicks lets go to a movie or something sometime. I bet you will get a positive response without damage to your friendship. Good Luck Be Brave Girl. ( A lot of romances start in the work place. If it doesn't work out you can still be friends. Theres a lot of fish in the sea.)

sounds like that if you ask him it wont ruin your friendship. if he is shy you make the first move. if he says no, you both could still be friends then in the future he might take you up on that offer.

If he is a co-worker, you need to rethink that idea. If something dgoes wrong, your work suffers.
