Just read an interesting article on slugging in DC. Who has done this and how does everyone feel about it? I think it's a great idea and it shows that there are decent people out there,it benefits everyone involved, what a novel idea to actually share space with strangers and no conflicts arising. Kudos to the sluggos

i too live in dc and have read the article. i dont think it's a bad i dea. i think it is a great way to guarentee that there are fewer cars on the road......but......in actuality, in this day and age there are so many things that could go wrong that i would never participate myself. but i love that they have rules...like no smoking allowed by either party. radio is to be controlled by the driver. the driver must initiate conversation. it is it's own little culture

I read the article today also. It was very interesting and it seems to work, but how do you know you're not getting in a car with Ted Bundy Jr? I used to hitchhike all the time in HS, but that was a whole different time. USA has changed and not for the better.

Great idea in theory but with all the nutjobs out there I wouldn't do it.
