I'm going to be working overseas for some time and I want to bring my movie collection. I need to know about the equipment's compatibility. Would a Playstation 2 perhaps work better?

As long as the TV is in NTSC format you can plug you player into it. Remember too that Korea is more then likely 240vac/50hz whereas US electonics are 110-120vac/60hz so be careful that you don't plug your US dvd player into their outlets unless your player supports 240vac/50hz. If it doesn't you can buy a step down transformer from 240-120 but it doesn't stepdown hz, so anything with a clock will not keep accurate time. The easiest solution would be to buy a region free multisystem dvd player. There are many sites out there that sell these systems. Two things:
1> The power is 220 v so you might need a stepddown converter (about $12-5)
2> US dvd is zone 1 and Korea is zone 3

Just buy a zone free dvd player in Korea.

IMHO human beings are probable greater ignorant approximately North Korea, while South Koreans practically stay around the corner, so as that they might desire to handle those threats for all time. additionally it has probable been a sluggish information week, the rhetoric has been greater sharply focused in the direction of human beings, and with lack of information comes the two concern and interest, to that end the better sensationalism.

I use my dvd player from the states and only ran into a problem once. It works fine with their tv's but the dvd formats hardly differ. Alot of stuff here is american standard. As long as the tv has the av cable hook up you should be fine.

depends on whether S. Korea's TV is PAL or NTSC. The two are incompatible. USA is NTSC and Europe (excpet France, which has it's own set up) is PAL. Japan is also PAL.

If the TV operates on NTSC it will be compatible with all forms of US media.
