unless of course you intend to purchase it or pass the hygene inspection at the enterance as i propose. or possibly we should be stripped naked upon entering, disinfected and made to do our shopping in an environment suit, thus keeping our intended uncovered purchases germ free from dirty shoppers, sneezing, coughing etc or pawing goods with hands that have recently scratched their ****. i would gladly go thro this ritual in order to buy a "clean" crusty brown loaf

No i don't. I work in a bakers and its really boring the only enjoyment we have is watching shoppers buy bread we've dropped on the floor ( on purpose). But i have to say our most favourite thing is making sandwiches with unwashed lettuce which is crawling with little bugs, then having a little titter to ourselves when one is purchased

Yes you are right. Most germs are spread through touch and dirty hands, more so than by droplets from sneezing etc. People should not be allowed to touch any fruit etc unless they are picking it up to put in their baskets. It's especially worrying after a recent survey found that 95% of people DO NOT wash their hands after using the toilet!! Shocking and eeeugh!

I once saw an old guy sneezing all over the counter where you can put salad and pasta etc in a container. They are always open and uncovered in most supermarkets and i avoid them like the plague. Also spotted a small snottery nosed child at the pick and mix once, licking the sweeties and putting them back. Had the last laugh though when i saw my ex-boyfriends new girlfriend over at them filling a bag up, lol. Ps - why do you look so sad in your avator??

I don't know where you shop where bread is exposed...but the fruit and veggies should be washed prior to using them.

The only place I know where bread is exposed is in a bakery and it's usually behind a glass shelf.. the only person who touches it (and it should be touched with a tissue paper) is the person behind the counter.

And how do you know what they've scratched or picked when their making the dam bread??? UGH!!! Ever think about that?

You know, we don't have such things as that here in the US. I have noticed it in London when I went to visit. I think it should be illegal, especially with all the bad things going on in the world. I think it is nasty,. I would never buy bread that is unwrapped. Think of all the germs and people touching it to see if it is fresh. YUCK !!!!

No. What are you a bunch of freaks? Living in a bubble? Seek counseling for obsessive compulsive disorder. What do you think the baker does when he / she bakes bread, wears a spacesuit?

Take a microscope and a cutout from one of your pillows. Take a good look at all the tiny creatures in that.

Sleep well tonight.................

Get over yourself! A healthy human is a cocktail of bacteria and creating a sterile World is killing our natural immune system. Deal with your phobia. It's people like you who will end up with us needing surgical masks to kiss and chemical suits to copulate.
