I would like to do more than a gift certificate. At the same time, I do not want to get anything that is engraved with their names and the date, because this is a third marriage for both of them.

I don't think you need to give them a gift at all. It sounds like you are not confident that it is going to last anyway. If anything, your dad needs to show you better values of marrying someone and staying with them.

A nice hug and best wishes. That would mean more to your dad and his fiance than any gifts that money can buy. Tell them both that you are happy for them and want only the best for them.

What are they like? What is their relationship like? What things do they enjoy or that they would get use from? These are all things to think about in a situation like this. You want to give them something that they will enjoy or get some practical use from.
