I hear what you’re saying…
I have a good friend who feels like god hates him.
This guy grew up in a very conservative Christian home. He talks about how he was pretty much a doormat through out his childhood, constantly being bullied. The pastor’s son of the church he grew up in use to punch him and would even dunk his head in the toilet (swirly). After getting a swirly his parents would punish him because he got his cloths all wet at church. In college he joined a campus Christian group. But, during his sophomore year he ended up have major problems with his eyes, nearly went blind, and spent 3 months in the hospital. His parents told him that this was god’s punishment for him being such a bad person. Also during his stay in the hospital no one from the church he attended or anyone from the campus group came to visit him. When he got back to college the next year his “friends” in this Christian group told him that he lost the sight in one eye as a punishment from god and that he would know he was forgiven when he was healed. The guy became massively depressed and tried to commit suicide. His parents had him committed to a mental institution where I guess he was raped several times.
Anyway, this guy really hates Christianity now and really hates any mention of God. He’s a really nice guy. Put pretty messed up at this point. But I can see why he feels like god hates him.
The poor Guy could really use a break.

I used to feel like God hated me. I was doing every drug I could find. (the only drug I have never done is PCP) I was drinking a fifth of Tequila a day (I'm 5'5" 140lbs.)along with alot of beer. I was a sex addict. I had incredible outbursts of anger and was put in a mental hospital five times. One day (I'm dead serious) I got down on my knees crying my eyes out and begged whatever God was up there to help me. In return I would do whatever he wanted but he had to make it clear because I read into eveything. I quit drinking for five years, I haven't done ANY drugs in over 6 years, I quit smoking, I'm happily married with four kids, and have NO DESIRE whatsoever to return to that life. God led me to Jesus and changed my life and in return, I just tell people how it happened. I don't think God ever hated me. I think I hated GOD.

If we really wish to s-t-r-e-t-c-h the logic, it is not just that God cannot hate us. None can hate us. It seems that others hate us. And their every action seems to cry out loudly that they hate us.
When a injury causes pain, the injured finger, leg or whatever seems to cry at us , the intelligence at cellular level literally draws our energy, and make us exclaim "this pain seems to take the life out of me !". But we know every part of our body is US. No chance of mutual hatred (only an illusion). Similarly, when a time comes when we experience everyone around as a part of us, we KNOW by our own experience that no one hates us.
If and when this happens, believe me, no religion, ethics, or even beliefs will be anymore needed !

No, I know that He loves me. Why else would He trade the Glory of Heaven to come down here and stand in for me, taking all the punishment meant for me? He gives me a new day every morning, a good job so I can take care of myself, a son that means everything to me, two grandsons to bring me joy, a peace in my heart that passes all understanding, and a secure tomorrow. I know that no matter what comes He'll be there with me, and He'll be on my side.

We are given choices. The outcome of our life is from "our choices" not from what God has thrown us. Take accountability for your actions and "think before you do each and every thing". Before acting ask yourself - is this in God's likeness. You'll be surprised how you might make other choices you may not have made if you had not thought first.

God loves all of his children!
Are you saved?
Maybe you're doing something wrong? Do you do what He asks of you? Maybe He is just testing you - so he can put you to better use in the Kingdom... Ever thought of that?
Plus, He's got a good sence of humour - GOD IS GREAT!

God loves the world, the pain that we suffer here is the result of man's fall into sin. Thanks be to God that he loves us so much he sent a Savior to free us from this vale of tears.
