Why did the ground just shake? I don't know, must be God getting pissed. No stupid, it's the plates of the earth shifting.

Whoa, flashes of light in the sky, God must be mad at us. No, it's an electrical discharge morons!!!

How did the universe get created? Oh, I don't know, must be god.

We have proven a scientific reason for all the other events that led primitive minds to believe in gods. It's only a matter of time until science is caught up enough to have a worthy explanation for the origins of the universe as well.

Cris C... may their god strike me down instantly for offending them. Whichever god they believe in. Please... show us once and for all there is actually a god.

Because this is the way most human think, you wonder why they have a brain. For most people it's the "easy" way: if one does not understand, then follow the one who will say that he knows, and the best at that are some priests.

And it does not look like it's getting better.

No, they don't realize, and isn't it infuriating? There's another element, too: fear of death. Even if some are willing to accept the scientific, factual explanations that were not available when these religions were created, religion will still be accepted and embraced because people are afraid to die, or cannot accept that they will, at some point, cease to exist. The whole afterlife thing is just as much a fantasy as any of the other stuff, but that's going to be the hardest to get rid of.
GG--"spiritual reality" is an oxymoron. (Go look that up.) If it were a reality, it could be explained with facts. Therefore, it's not a reality.

John S said: "Where do you think ID came from. Albert Einstein-a primitive mind???He came up with that idea to explain what he saw in the universe that science could not."

Well, that is an outright lie... the only question is whether John S made up the lie, or if he just fell for it, and is parroting it.

Einstein was an atheist.

"It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world (universe) so far as our science can reveal it."   ~ Albert Einstein

As a scientist I must say that you have a totally misplaced idea about what is meant by 'proven scientific reason.' Also, science is the study of the material universe and has never claimed authority in the realm of the spiritual.
An atheist can never disprove God (the science argument is the last bastion of the ignorant), although I also accept that the person of faith cannot prove God to any other person as it is based on personal revelation, often through scripture.
So, who is right? As a Christian I can wait for my vindication, of which I am certain.

Who do you think created the shifting plates? The electrical charge?

Talk about Moron? Do you realize that you have offended the entire religious WORLD...Jews, Christians, and Muslims because all 3 religions trace their roots back to Abraham and the original creation story....that Moses, most highly revered by ALL Jews and Christians wrote the Book of Genesis?

Your are attempting to explain away a spiritual case with physical reasoning.
As for science, it has NEVER, EVER proven the Bible wrong yet.
The Bible has in fact, ALWAYS proven science.
And just to tick you off some more: The odds of life being created randomly from random particles at a random time in past history is 1 in 360,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.
The number of known electrons in the universe?
1 in 92,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.
The facts speak for themselves.

Excellent to use logic and make such a sincere attempt. Only please do not stop with this....
What about inside us... A little bit of patience, involvement to deepen our awareness, a whole Universe is awaiting to be discovered, NOT REQUIRING any 'stupid, blind belief' in anything. If there is a God at all, he has to be also within us. Anyway nothing to lose, knowing how things work within helps us to function better. The very process can possibly unfold, unravel the mysteries we seek outside !

Where do you think ID came from. Albert Einstein-a primitive mind???He came up with that idea to explain what he saw in the universe that science could not. I guess Einstein "evolved' a little further than most other brilliant minded scientist. How about you-whats your excuse?

When it comes to primitive minds, you win the prize!!

To bad, you don't seem intelligent enough for me to waste time trying to explain my side....

Good luck! Stay in school fool!

You can't explain away a spiritual reality with physical evidence. Therefore, your argument is flawed.
