Do you actually understand Islam?

I see all these questions about how the goo old USA is evil for attacking Muslim countries. First off, they have been attacking us for years. Second, if you are a devout Muslim, jihad is your DUTY, and jihad is holy war against ALL people that are not Muslim. Not just us Americans, EVERYBODY. The prophet Mohammed was told by Allah that Muslims must bring war upon all that do not believe, and they must convert to Islam or be killed.

Now some of you are going to say that there are peaceful Muslim's, and there are, but they are not true believers in the eyes of their own religious leaders and will be dealt with in time as well. Islam's goal, for 1400 years, has been to rule the world in the name of Allah. So, we either fight or we will be irradicated for not converting to their beliefs.

Ok, for all you who feel I'm and idiot, on last question then. If the reason they hate us is because we invaded Iraq, then why did they crash 3 planes into our buildings on 9-11-2001. They came HERE, to our country, and killed INNOCENT people. And yes, we have killed innocent people as well, but it isn't a soldiers goal to kill innocent people. The terrorist goals was STRICTLY to kill, innocent or not. And you can think want you want, but jihad means strive or struggle as you stated, which means to STRIVE AGAINST Christians and Jews. Thus, Holly War.

I do not hate Muslim's, they have their beliefs and religion. I don't even condemn them, they are only following the teachings of their religion. But I will never have the beliefs they do. Peace would be better, but it's not realistic.

Jihad doesn't mean holy war as you western people claimed.Jihad is fight the bad and accept the good.Prophet Muhammad once said,the greatest Jihad is to tell the truth in front of a cruel ruler.This has already prove Jihad is not Holy War as you western people claimed.We Muslim does not have to force people to accept Islam as their religion.The Quran has stated that there is no force in religion,because it,s already proven that Islam is the truth.For year's,the western orientalis has manipulate Islamic history by stating it's has spread over violence and war.Yes, the Muslim soldier did conquer some city,but what they did is in their empire's name.The prophet Muhammad once send an army to help the pagan Arab to fight their enemy.but,the Arab killed them all instead of cherish the Muslim help.The prophet Muhammad prayed for the Arab and after sometime,the Arab who killed the Muslim army willingly convert to Islam.And unlike the crusader's who killed all the Muslim and Jew's all the way from Europe to Jerusalem,and killed 70,000 people in Jerusalem either Muslim or Jew's,the Muslim didn't killed any of the local civillian when they conquer a city,those who are non Muslim are only required to pay taxes to the Islam government.Not even one of their temple or worshipping place has been demolished or burn down,and not even one of the local civillian has been force to Islam.This clearly shown that Islam isn't the violence religion.A true Muslim is the one who promote peace,not violence,not holy war and not killing the non Muslim.Where else we can find a country free from crime except in a Muslim Country(Saudi Arabia) where the bank and jewellry store can be found without any armed guard,elobrate security system and closed door's.If we only look into the right place,we will find,Islam is the solution.

Oh my god,, how can you be so stupid and ignorant to say something like that about a religion.. how can you take a religion that existed for more than 1400 years and think you erase all the good , devine history of that religion but a stupid comment from you like that one..

If you don't know what Jihad means then don't even attempt tp explain it in your own words especially if YOU GOT THE MEANING FROM TV... then you better go check your sources...
go to wikipedia ,, and type in jihad, here is what you'll find that Jihad actually means "to exert utmost effort, to strive, struggle rom an inward spiritual struggle to attain perfect faith" IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH KILLING,, it also tells you "The term "jihad" is often rendered in western languages and non-Islamic cultures as "holy war"" IF your stupid media is giving you the wrong information and telling you the Jihad means holly war, then THAT'S NOT ISLAM'S FAULT.. WAKE UP MAN,, u can't really be that ignorant,,

At least muslims don't go around bashing other religions, on the contrary, we're all the same, and we are supposed to love,, we have to love and respect people from other religions,,

When Christian missionaries were sent to America they forcibly converted many of the tribes to Christianity. If they didn't convert now they'd burn in hell - ok that's not the same as having a gun put to your head, but then these converts would be given muskets and supplies and told to conquer their neighbours, and forcibly convert them to Christianity, or have their supplies taken away. This WAS forcible conversion.

During the Spanish reconquista (the re-taking of Moorish lands by Christian Spain) all the Jews and Muslims in the new Spain were required to convert to Christianity, or have their homes and buisinesses seized, and be thrown out of the country. This was repeated during the Inquisition, anyone who wasn't Catholic would convert, flee the country or die. Those that did convert, the Moriscos and Conversos, were under constant suspicion, and were often wrongly accused of crimes. Many were executed and some burnt at the stake. "Now some of you may say there are peaceful" Christians, "yet they are not true believers" - they are a mere modern phenomenon. Christianity is one of the world's most vicious and violent religions.

How have Muslim countries been attacking the US for years? The US INVADED Muslim countries (Afghanistan, Iraq) and bombed Muslim countries, yet no Muslim state has declared war on the US. Muslim GROUPS have, yet they are not countries.

If of course you are advocating genocide by the unmitigated destruction of all Muslim people, based on the premise that their religion is violent, I suggest you also turn your sights on the Christians who killed all the pagans in Rome when Constantine converted, killed all the Muslims and Jews in the Holy Land during the Crusades, during every war proclaim "God is on our side" and advocated conversion by the sword.

Of course if you disagree and believe Christianity is a religion of peace, because MOST OF THE FOLLOWERS BELIEVE THIS, and that most doctrine says this, then I suggest you also take this viewpoint for Islam.

I've spoken with Muslims in chat and discussed religion with them at length. Their bible (Quoran) says they are not allowed to force convert people yet that is what they are trying to do. I always remind them that they are blood brothers with the people they are against or want to fight against. Those I've spoken to advise me they are not warring people, yet when I ask about quotes from their Quoran I'm quoted the bad stuff. I mention too that Abraham had two sons, one Ishmael and one Isaac. The first born was born out of wedlock when Abraham bedded down with his maid. The second son was his true son born from his wife who was glorified as Abraham's son, while the out of wedlock son and his mother was banished from their city. In those days a child born out of wedlock was an embarassment (same as it was an embarassment in the USA even up thru the 1980's). God said in the bible that he would accept "both" sons. However the Quoran never mentions that, and in fact it never mentions several of the important things the other bibles do and that's the problem. Muslims believe their holy book which is missing a lot of important facts (for some unknown reason), but their religious laws say they are not permitted to read any other holy books. And you can see why they are bitter since the person they follow was banished from the city by Abraham.

The bible says there will always be wars. The idea of us being given reason and ability to treat each other humanly and negotiate things and solve matters is the reason why we keep trying for peace.

There is a secondary situation going on. In the countries in the middle east the governments are run by religion and religious leaders, while America is not run by religion or by religious leaders (because of how America was originally set up). When Muslims look at America they see our country as being run like theirs and it is not. So when the world tries to solve situations with that part of the world you have to deal with both their religion and their government.

When Palestine recently was wanting to solve their government problems they had a choice between two muslim terrorists who were running for office, either one they chose they were just out of luck.

And where Israel is concerned, well they are all brothers fighting over there in the middle east so I think we should not get involved in that because it is "their" family matter. Yet muslims want to pull us into their problems.

Jihad is not only a holy war, it is a war they want to bring about to end the world because for some reason they see things unfolding according to their Quoran and think it's the end of the world and therefore they aren't concerned at taking their own lives and judging other people. However our religion teaches us not to judge lest shall we be judged, and that taking lives when not confronted is a bad thing. And our religions teach that God says no one will know the year of the end of the world. So the religions of the world are clashing. And now they are ruining the holy land and attempting to take land from people who God gave land to. We here live in peace ....they don't want peace.

Now is there a difference between terrorists and muslims...I think so. There is an agenda afoot.

As do other religious people make effort to convert other people to their religion Muslims do so. Muslims tried to invade people and convert them into Muslim by force. They also tried to have them many wives so that they can bear many Muslim children. What is difficult and different about Muslims is the fact that it is highly influenced by political thoughts and the political objectives interfere with religion calling for a war like Jihad.

No, holy war is not their only duty.. Loving and Revering God is their duty.. You also need not undestand a religion to respect it.. Who are we to judge anyone.. If it there were no oil in the middle east we would hever even hear about this part of the world.. Do not be fooled, this war is about oil and money.. Extremeist Muslims are just that< EXTREMEIST.. Islam is the most contradictory religion out there.

First off, religion is promoted for morality. I can't say peace, unless you're a bhuddist.

Islam states that morals are made by Allah. So it is really moral to change someone's views by forcing them to convert to islam? Is it really moral to commit mass murders to prove that there is only one religion--islam?

Religions are made.. so that humans can make a choice. That is how the world functions. For example.. we chose what we want to eat. we can eat Fruits, vegetables, meats.. whatever.. but the choices are always different.

But Islam states that the only choice is to follow Allah.. To follow his rules.. Does that mean, we should all live as mindless zombies... have no feelings... have no choices made by us? Do we all follow "the book".... Doesn't it seem like we're living in the world of George Orwell .. follow "big brother"?


Religions promote diversity. God created different animals. (s)he created plants, different colors, different people..

So why is it, that we all should be muslim? Why? Why can't we be what we want to be? Does that mean... animals also don't have the right to live as animals? how can we convert giraffes into dogs? So since elephants aren't goats.. does that mean, that the elephant has no right to live?

Seriously.. the religion is so contradictory.. i can't seem to understand it. It has the most rules, yet the rules are vague..

It's an oxymoron..

Don't get me wrong.. I'm not saying that Islam is the only religion that's contradictory..

Being a hindu, i find so many controversial things about my religion.. for example.. the caste system... swaminarayan, etc...

but the most extremists seem to be coming from islam... and the y seem to be in the limelight.. so why is it that these extremists aren't really following the Quran properly? Why do they need to take one sentence out of it--"murder all people who dont pray to allah" and try to make history for the name...

I understand Islam and Muslims and i'm sure they dont want to kill people, 2 out of 6 billion people in the world are Muslims, if every Muslim kills 3 people in the world, everyone would be dead.
so don't fight because you will not be irradicated for not converting to their beliefs.

Islam is NOT a religion of Peace.

I bought a copy of the Koran to find out for myself...from the horse's mouth so to speak. It plainly teaches its followers to not be friends with Jews or Christians. See the following:

The Qur'an, Surah V 51 says; O you who believe! do not take the Jew and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.

In the Qur'an's Surah IX, v.30 it also says: And the Jews say: Uzair is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!

Islam teaches Muslims to hate and destroy Jews and Christians. It is not a religion of love and tolerance for their brother human beings. They are to "Strike the infidel at the neck"

All religions are based on flase ideals and philosophies. Anyone involved in Islam or Christianity should give their heads a shake for being led down the garden path.
