Basically, Ms. Browne describes herself as a prophet. The Bible reads at 1 Cor. 14:32-33: "32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. 33 For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints." This means that anyone claiming to be a prophet must act like one. Ms. Browne charges for her predictions, which is explicitly forbidden; also, her "prophecies" are inaccurate, which reveals her to be a false prophet.
If we successfully argue that she's not a prophet, then we must conclude she's a medium. God forbids us to consult mediums, who actually prophesy with the help of Satan.

Jesus Christ told us to be on the lookout for false prophets and false christs, particularly as the Tribulation draws near. Ms. Browne is a perfect example of just such a person. Run from her as fast as you can!

I have read some of her books and watched many of her shows on TV, I have also visited her website. I think she started out well but I think she is tainted with her own ego. Some of the things she says to people are not just wrong but hurtful and misinformed. She charges people $750 for a phone reading. That in itself is sick. So only people with money can ever speak with her? How is that spiritually good? She makes it sound as if everything she says is true CAUSE SHE'S A PSYCHIC. I believe in psychic abilities I believe everyone has them and can work to open up to theirs. You don't need Sylvia Browne to tell you your own future. Check out the link I sent. This site doesn't tell you your future but teaches you how to open up to your own abilities. Empower yourself so you don't need to go through other people to connect up.

the word con-artist is a difficult word to describe. Let's just say she found herself a way to make money and writes books, does guest appearances, and makes educated guesses for entertainment purposes only. Her theory is like an MLM. The people at the top make the money.

I think shes full of it...i can't believe someone like Montel would sit by herside and believe the things she's saying. I've never heard of her finding a child that has come up missing or solved a real big murder. If she has such talent then why not help without wanting to load her bank account.

I have seen Ms Brown on The Montel Williams Show more times than I can count and to be honest - I cannot "stand" this woman! It's not even about if she is believable or not. There is something about her personal demeanor that is very disturbing to me. I don't trust her and would not trust anything she has to say. I am glad I have the ability to "discern" spirits of my own and therefore would never believe anything she or any psychic had to say.

She is for real. 1) Montel has her on because they are very close friends. 2) She doesn't pad her bank account with work she does with the police, she does it for FREE and the reason you never hear of her helping in cases like that is because she stays on the down low out of respect for the families. She doesn't approach them, she lets them come to her OUT OF RESPECT. 3) I've seen her and she told me something for real (and no I was not approached before the show).

I love her......I think she is wonderful. I think she is real. I have several of her books and have tried several of her methods on things. They work.
I hope I can meet her someday. I have tried to get on Montel to meet her and ask a question but no response.
I think others are fake but I believe she is the real deal!!!

Oh she is the real deal thats for sure. I went with a friend to a reading once and she was so dead on it was scary.

She is a gifted psychic. I also think that she is an ambitious business woman and she is really into selling a lot of books.
