My ex pumped some bad gas into his car once (it had water in it) and he comlained to the gas station. Since he bought gas there all the time, they fixed it without having to go any further. There were a good number of cars that had trouble with them til they found the groundwater leak.

Sorry I degressed, I'd start with informing the gas station.

It may vary from state to state... but here in Georgia we would report it to the State Agricultural Commissioner. He is the one who supervises the distribution rates of the pumps at all of the stations and certifies them.
