I did a two years on a day release course while working part time as a sparkys mate(on a yts scheme with my football club) you need the experience of site work to become a good sparky. It is ok in colleage when it on a board in front of you but try doing it in a loft with a small light and no room!
Try and get a job with a company as an aprentice show willing and they will pay for you course! It's a good trade keep working at it. But try to do a 3 year course with the work as well. You will be better at the job for it i missed the final year for a footy contract!

Go to the career section in the library and look for the Occupational Handbook, or others like it. They list all of the qualifications needed, especially educational ones. Vocational education handbooks will tell you where the schools are.
