I dont really think that there is such an age you should be. I recomend after 18 because you really dont want to regret your first time. I am not sure how old you are. But if you are a teen I understand you can get excited pretty easy and temptations are there. But just remember your body is saying YES!!! But you are not mature enough to handle what a sexual relationship can bring. Sometimes people sleep with people to keep them! And that is not good. There is a lot of mind games and hurting that goes on in those situations.
Also a big thing to think about the younger you are having sex you have an increased rate of having cervical cancer! (if you are a girl) Also your risk for STD's gets really high. There are some STDs that you wont even get a symptom and ruin your life.
So I suggest you wait until you are an adult and you are in a commited relationship! For more than a Day! Then you may go at it! LOL

I would think that the individual age would vary from country to country, based on an overall consensus of what that country's society would deem as an appropriate and responsible age for its citizens to be able to make the right choices about sexual intercourse. A lot of these other countries have 16, which goes to illustrate that each of those countries places a lot of faith and trust in the maturity of its population. Here in America, it varies from state to state, which goes to show that each state holds its citizens in different regard, which relates to the Constitution granting not only each individual state, but each citizen as an individual their own sovereignty.
For my tastes, though? Based on my experiences, and what I've seen in people and their actions? I think the legal age in America should be around 45!

i dont think there should be an age for when someone has sex as long as it is within the age the law states and that its not wiv just anyone and they both want to do it. I was taught from my parents not 2 do anything i didnt want to do and i waited till i was 19 and im from london most of my friends were like 15 an 16 wen they did an cant even remember who it was with or what is was like. i have no regrets because i thought about it 1st

I don't think there should be an "Exact" age, and after all, age of consent is being blatantly disregarded on a daily basis anyway. People are going to have sex, and until parents are willing to actually educate their children rather than leaving it up to the schools and the childs friends, there's nothing to be done.

When the person feel ready; the legal age involve adult responsability, and variate between 16 and 21.
But real is that sex choose his own time for everibody of us.
