I guess it depends on the kind of guy... If he's really old fashioned or comes from a place where that isn't really supposed to happen then he might be a bit conservative about it. Accepting your move and welcoming it doesn't mean it will help your relationship. Some guys will see this as something that would happen all the time and will tend to trust you less in the long run.
But generally if he is a open-minded and "evolved" person he will be fine with it, actually I reckon he'll be thankful! Because one thing that us gals tend to forget about is that guys are just as nervous as us... and sometimes more (!), as they are almost always expected to be the ones to make the first move.
I guess it depends on how well you know each other and how comfortable you are around each other already.

funny wellington that you asked that, because i was just talking about that with my grandmother the other day, and even she says it's ok! Think about it, men weren't always the one who made the first step, a woman had her own duties, for example, women smiled at a gentleman at a ball behind their fans, or dropped their handkerchiefs in front of a gentleman, they had a big part too in the firs steps. There is nothing wrong in it, we live in the 21st century, men can't expect us to sit in the seventh tower and to wait for them to rescue us (though it would be more comfortable...).
Also men are cowards. Sorry for that guys! They fear rejection as much as we do, maybe more, it's totally natural, and nothing to be ashamed of. They might thank you for making the first step.
Though i think that the first steps can be overdone too, you don't want to scare the guy off. Nut you can always follow our great-great-great grandmother's tricks: little smile, blush, gaze might do the work.
Nowadays there are hard to find a conservative guy, i only know one, who might not accept a girls approach, the rest of them would! And when you are finally in a relationship it doesn't really matter who did the first step. The first step is followed with many others which are not made by you! So don't be afraid, the big question is not is making the first step acceptable, but how to make the first step.

No it's not wrong for a girl to make the first move, just as long as if u dont come off too strong. If anything it shows the guy you have confidence which is always a plus. Then again over doing it and making the first move all the time is not a good sign, but dont worry it is not wrong for a girl to make the first move, good luck

No, these days it is okay. A guy usually likes it when a girl makes the first move.

Its not necessarily wrong, but as far as I'm concerned, girls should learn to be more reserved.4get bout the 21st century and all that.that just some crap.
u shudnt have to chase a guy, they shud b d one after d girl.although some guys say they like it when girls make d first move, but i tell u wat they'll always put a big question mark bout dat girl and they'll definitely take her for granted.
naturally, men are not really excited bout getting things easy.they like to be able to look for what they want.

There is first moves and there is first moves. Make sure that it is equal amount of moving going on there! Then it doesn't matter who actually leans in first to kiss or whatever.
