Check out the numerous vendors along Canal Street and Mott Street in Chinatown (downtown area). There are tons of great stuff out there and you can bargain with the vendors too. Another place for great deals is in the Village (downtown area) where there are many stores with good prices. In midtown area (34th street) there are some great bargain stores across from Macy's (I forgot the names...haven't been there for a while..relocated).

A leisurly walk along 34th street should suffice your need but if you feel a bit adventurous then Chinatown boasts the best deals.

Have fun shopping...and stay safe.

Rainbow sometimes has cute stuff, as does De Janeiro. Or look for Strawberry or H&M.

34th st is your best bet....

5th ave is a bit unreasonably priced place... for you anyway...
