from the supermarket very good ice creams are Haagen Daas, Loosely, Green and Blacks and a few other small producers. But if you are looking for something less comercial, try to find an old fashioned Italian cafe - there are a few left here and there. There used to be one just off Balham High Road in South London but I dont know if it is still there. These people make their own ices and they are the best best best best best!!! - or you could make your own of course. Its really easy and tastes so much better than the bought stuff.

Cornish Ice Cream is fabulous or Chain Bridge Honey Farm in Berwickshire does Ice Cream to die for - it contains their own brand honey.

Alternatively you can get some good ice cream in the supermarkets:-
Tesco's white vanilla is really creamy
Morrisons Chocolate chip or Strawberry is yummy
Iceland do a box of wafer's and ice cream bricks - makes 8 sandwiches for 99p - and the ice cream is really yummy.

Then you get the usual special flavour ice creams in supermarkets/video shops:-
Haagen-dazs
Ben & Jerrys
Vienetta
Nestle - Smarties/Rolo/After Eight
Baskin Robbins

All of the above would be in my freezer but it's not big enough !!

Must amend my next shopping list to : buy bigger freezer .............
