As far as I know, all mainstream Protestant denominations use the same Bible, which is not quite the same as the Bible that Catholics use. Well, there are various translations, ie: King James, New International Version, etc., but that's more a matter of personal preference. I don't think any denomination requires their members to use a particular translation.
The differences between the denominations are mostly in the details like how baptism is done or how communion is done, etc. There are some basic doctrinal differences, as well however. Some are conservative, some are liberal, some are moderate. It would take pages and pages and pages to go into any detail. The link below can tell you a lot about the differences and similarities of the various denominations as well as many other religions.

The difference is revelation. Some people get inspired by certain areas of the Bible. It may be an area that they feel became neglected. They try to get others to see these things, and attract a number of like-minded people. If their revelation is accepted by the church they belong to, then the church itself changes in accord with the revelation. Othrewise, the people might consider the matter serious enough that they form another church. Or, it may be that the church itself rejects the revelation and no longer admits those people.
The Anglican Church split from the Catholic Church because Henry VIII wanted a divorce that the Catholic Church would not grant him. Protestantism arose as a result of the teachings of men like Martin Luther, who had a revelation concerning salvation by Faith. The Baptists were formed as a result of the revelation that people should accept Christ personally and be baptised as adults by full immersion, rather than being christened as babies. Methodism is named for a teaching method used by Wesley and others, so that anyone could learn the Gospel message and be saved.
My own church, The Jesus Fellowship/Jesus Army, started in a Baptist chapel. There was a Charismatic renewal (people being baptised in The Holy Spirit), which, at that time, was rare in the Baptist Church. The result of this was that lives were transformed. People shared their houses and possessions and community houses were created (about a quarter of our Church membership currently live in these community houses). Emphasis is made on taking the Gospel to "The Poor," of acceptance of all people no matter what their background, and of the need to form strong, healthy relationships with other church members.

These days, what Christian denominations have in common is far more important than where they differ. The more obvious differences vary between churches of the same denomination.
Baptists tend to use more water than the rest of us. Catholics are the biggest group. (In fact the Catholic Church is the largest organisation in the world - even bigger that China). Anglicans keep having problems about women and gays (a bit like the world in general). Methodists tend to have more music. And Pentecostals get more excited.

In the early centuries of Christianity, there was no such thing as denominations...There was just the One universal church, and it was the same whereever you went.
Unfortunately, as life moved on, be it for political or over-zealouse emotional reasons, people started to come up with their own ideas and started their own churches, and started to split away from the 'Mother Church' or the universal church.
Fortunately, the mother Church is still alive today, and that is namely the Roman Catholic Church in the Western Countries, and the Orthodox Church in the Eastern countries...and a results of migration and movements, you will find catholic and orthodox churches everywhere.
I hope this helps...e-mail me if you need any further clarification.
God Bless.

The difference lie in their Canon (or church Laws) Every demoination has a slightly different way of interpreting Gods message for this world. The differences are based of the founders of that denomination. For example John Wesley is the founder of Methodism (Whereas Martin Luther is the founder of all Protestantism).
