doesnt idol worship.allows men to marry 4 times. men can divorce women by saying talaq 3 times, even on the phone or via sms! supposedly fanatic. preaches sharing with neighbours.

honestly it's pretty much the same as the other 2 "major" religions - christianity and judaisim. there is really nothing different or special about it. they just have different customs and even then the customs aren't that different either.
the problem is that you have a few fanatical or radical individuals who decide to twist up the word as they fit. Christianity has GW Bush. Islam has its Osama Bin Laden. Judaism has it Olmert and Shanon. Of course they all have their followers.
pick up a koran (or quran) one day and read it. you will see a lot of similar concepts as in the bible. in all truth all 3 religions were born in the middle east and are so related it's like 3 siblings. i believe that islam teaches some of the bible stories as well because a lot of the figures in the bible appear in the koran as well.

It's about everything.
The way you eat, drink, sleep, do business, living your life, loving the people around you, help someone who is need and the list goes on.
I would say pick an issue and you'll have a better answer in the light of Islam.
Of course there will be many who will come and say some really ignorant things about this religion but if you have your eyes and mind open, you can decide on your own.

I is a religion...like any other...that has a prophet sent by God who and who wrote a scripture based on what God told him and millions of people follow these teachings.
It is actually an off shoot of Christianity, The Quaran their Bible, actually consists of the complet Old Testament. Their version of a New Testament are the writings of their Prophet Mohammed.
Another little known fact, ..Remember Abraham in the Bible, well in transalations of ancient text and The Dead Sea Scrolls, his real name was Ibrihim ( a Moslem name!!) The King James and other translations of the Bible translated this as Abraham...because they could not comprehend how an Arabic name could be in the Bible, so they made it an English Name.

Islam is "diin" or way of life; the first thing to do for anyone searching for the truth or whatever in their lives is "iqra" or "to learn on ourselves, others, and the world". the message is "peace be upon the universe" meaning every moslem, regardless place and time, has a duty to design, build and maintain a better world. there were times moslem had to make war against non-moslems who declared war against moslems, but not because Islam teaches moslems to make war again and again, NO, Islam teaches human kind to make a better living; it's the people who are misled by certain figures that make non-moslems see Islam the way they think right now (terror, killings, guns, blazes, etc). I'm saying this not because I'm a perfect moslem, no, but I'm (like my other moslem brothers who share the same wit and humility) willing to share my "iqra" with all other religious believers with open heart and mind so that this world can become a better place.

Firstly its not muslim religion, its called Islam, the people who follow it are called muslims, Its a religion of peace but hijacked by some who try to misuse it and give a bad name to the entire religion, the media is biased towards muslims, similary how jews were targeted in nazi germany, to correctly understand a muslim you have to meet one, go to the local mosque in you area to find out
blaming all muslims or Islam for a act of few is not right.

Muslim religion has nothing to do with killing, close minds, Terrorism.. I don't blame anyone who think that about Islam cuz the terrorists have corrupt the face of this peaceful religion..
This religion is about caring about people and helping them.. Knowing that we have to worship God and be faithful to him.. Peace and safety..

Islam isn't a religion that you see on televisions. muslims are shown like all of them are terrorist.Islam forbid to kill people! I'm muslim and i hate the terrorists who describe themselves as muslim. believe me, they are not real muslim and because of them all the world knows muslims wrong...

Islam is never about killing people. Never about hurting anyone/anything. No religion is about killing anyone. Islam never teaches about terrorism. It's always about peace. Every religion is about peace. It is about every single thing you do, that leads to good and better things.
