The 2 Western-most Provinces: British Columbia & Alberta!

They're both Very Scenic...The people are friendly...& Ice Hockey is a Passion! Actually all-of-Canada is Hockey-Crazy!

B.C.'s cities Vancouver & Victoria, on Vancouver Island, are a Great Destination!...You can go on Whale-Watching excursions, see Sea Lions, etc. on the Coastal Areas...Even take a Cruise North towards Alaska among the Glaciers!...and, you can take in a Vancouver Canucks NHL game in Hockey Season!...And, Vancouver is a World-Class City with lots to see & do! ( Just type Vancouver, Victoria, Kelowna into your search bar...Not sure what all your interests are...You'll have many Websites to check out! )

Heading Inland from Vancouver will take you through beautiful Mountain Scenery via many interesting Cities & Towns...until you reach the Kelowna-Penticton Area - Very Picturesque & a Popular Tourist area due to Sand-Rimmed Lakes surrounded by Mountain Peaks!...Beautiful - but, Beastly Hot in Summer!

Continuing East - the Mountain Scenery continues - passing more Scenic Towns, Villages & Cities...until you cross into Alberta...which, as my Nickname suggests, is where I live.

Calgary, home of the NHL Calgary Flames, and the Calgary Stampede ( Don't Miss it! - Early July! 10 Days of Rodeo, Rides, Great Entertainment Acts, etc., etc! - The entire City goes Nuts!...Bars & Pubs are Crowded-to-the-Rafters...Some have Champagne Breakfasts starting @ 7am with Full-Bar Service...The Dance Floor jammed by 9am...You'll leave at Noon with quite the Buzz On!...and, You've still got 14 hours left before Last Call @ 2am! )

Alberta's National Parks are a Must-See! Banff, Jasper & Waterton, and just-inside B.C.: Yoho & Kootenay are all short distances from Calgary! To the East are the Dinosaur-rich Badlands areas @ Drumheller & Brooks...I've found many huge bones, teeth, etc, while hiking these areas.

Edmonton, home of the NHL's Oilers, is a 3-hour-drive North of Calgary.

Anyways, running outta Time here...But, If You decide to journey to Canada...Feel free to eMail me with any Questions! ( I'm originally from Ontario, Canada - So I could give You more info about the Eastern Provinces also!.

Good Luck!...Maybe we can hook-up for a few Cold Ones, if You come!

Try Edmonton, Alberta. Lots and lots of work there. NHL team there with another team 3 hour drive away in Calgary. You are a 4 hour drive to the Rocky Mountains (Jasper) , beautiful scenery, lots of wildlife. If you are there for a year, then take a 20 hour drive north into Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories and see the northern lights in their full brilliance. Summer temperature in Edmonton is usually in the 20-30C range, winters can be bitterly cold at times -30'sC. You could also consider either Montreal or Vancouver, both have NHL teams, beautiful scenery, lots to do. In the Montreal area it would be helpfull if you spoke french but not entirely necessary. In the summer they host a Grand Prix car race, Festival of Laughs, great people, beautiful old city.Vancouver has the most comfortable year round temp in Canada with the Rocky Mountains on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other.I, personally would avoid the congestion of southern Ontario although there is NHL teams in Toronto and Ottawa. Lots of places to see in the area though, including Niagara Falls but it does get very muggy in the summer and their freeway system leaves alot to be desired. Hope some of this helps.

Toronto and Montreal. Montreal is, of course, one of hockey's original cities. The Hockey Hall of Fame is in Toronto and really worth seeing. I've been there several times. Might also want to go to the canadian rockies and visit Calgary while there.

Calgary is nice, they have an olympic training ground there. Jasper National park is just north of Calgary, you could ride this supped up bus onto an actual glacier. Plus if your there at hte right time, you see elk in the middle of town and lots of them. HOwever, i know summer time, rooms are hard to come by. Yukon is cool to but you dont want to go to way out places so it may not be for you.

Winnipeg!!! Yah Winnipeg, I live in Winnipeg! Canmore, Alberta is a cool place. I used to live there...it's between Calgary and Banff and has tons of people who love to play hockey. Plus you're in the mountians too so that's pretty awesome. But I'll say Winnipeg again, our winters are cold and we have great rivers to skate on and our summers are wicked hot...latley we've been have Las Vagas like temps.

Montreal. It's a place of laughter and captures alot of the Canadian spirit. I'm sure it has alot of hockey related sights, and the weather there is generally okay. Not too cool, and not too hot. Though being a Canadian... I'm never cold.

Rocky Mountains between Calgary and Vancouver. Sensational!

Vancouver is OK to, but the islands off it are better, Victoria etc..
