Try some good work during the 6-10 period, i'd suggest a good game like Halo (if you havent played) play only when u feel sleepy, the concentration helps staying awake. Sleep or try sleeping at the regular time 2200, after 2 weks, it should become normal.

Have you seen a doctor about this? There may be something in your bodily chemistry that is out of whack.
For starters, see if you are ingesting anything that is a stimulant (caffiene, etc.) and try to eliminate it from your diet. If you are drinking coffee, etc. to stay awake during the day, then STOP INGESTING IT AFTER 2PM. THIS IS IMPORTANT!!! Caffiene stays in the body for 7 hours after it is ingested. If you are drinking caffiene after 4pm (for work's sake) you are messing with your body's ability to sleep later! You may want to take a week or two off to purge your body of artificial stimulants, both for your sake, and the sake of your co-workers. You don't want to bite anybody's head off, do you?
Are you worried or anxious about anything? Thoughts that race will keep you up at night also.
Do you feel safe where you sleep? That is important. If you don't, consider moving, or take steps to feel secure.
Have you considered working 3rd shift? If your body wants to sleep during the day, and be awake at night, maybe you should just go with your circadian rhythms.
Have you been tested for ADHD or other hyperactivity disorders? If you have one of these, your body chemistry may reverse the affects of "normal" stimulants and sedatives. Strange but true.
Good luck!

It sounds funny, but the cure for my insomnia (and a minor weight problem) seemed to lie in a better planned diet. Not necessarily healthier though. I actually just meant that when I got up in the morning (7am to say 9 am) and ate a big breakfast I seemed to fall into a few more patterns of 'normal'. I think getting my metabolism going early allowed it to shut down at night early as well. Believe it or not I actually lost more weight when I scarfed down huge breakfasts than when I skipped breakfast!!!?

If you're willing to go the extreme, stay up all night and the next day as well until about 5pm-7pm and go to bed then. You will have reset your sleep cycle and you should fall asleep easy.
