Probably not. 1 GB of RAM is recommened.
Ultimate won't be able to work properly on such a low end rig.

oh and 1 last thing i just wanted to say is that i have windows vista beta 2 installed on my computer and i have a gig of RAM so since u have 512 MB RAM dont expect the operating system to run fast and also some of the features in windows vista like windows Aero might be unavailable to you if ur video card is not fully DIRECT X 9 compatible i had a 128mb video card too i found out that it was direct x 9 compatible but not FULLY compatible with it so i had to buy a more expensive one and now it works and by the way Windows Vista is AWESOME.
Hope this helps
Thanks

If you had 15GB free space you had minimum requirement of Vista. Go to http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/getready/upgradeadvisor/default.mspx/ to download the program to check if your PC ready for Vista or not. It need .NET Framework 2.0 ( http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=262D25E3-F589-4842-8157-034D1E7CF3A3&displaylang=en )
