I have read the Qur'an, and I found it quite an enlightening experience, even though I'm not a muslim. Most Americans get their info from the news shows which have no intrest in truth but ratings. All they know are the fanatics who twist the Qur'an to fit their own screwy version of the world.

I've read bits and pieces of the Qur'an. I didn't find it that interesting, since I know the truth is in the Bible.

I don't think the majority of Muslims are terrorists. I think there are a few that are terrorists, some who sympathize with them, and most who disagree completely.

The Qur'aan was actually revealed in 'Arabic, and not in Urdu, as one user kindly stated. I have read the whole Qur'aan in its original language, but not in the English translation/interpretation.

However, one cant say (who does not know 'Arabic) that he has read the Qur'aan because the original is only recited in 'Arabic (certainly, when one listens to it recited in a melodious tone in the way it was revealed, one can at least appreciate it). They (those who dont know 'Arabic) could say, I have read the translations/interpretations of it.

You can download the Qur'aanic translations which would be found on the side of the web page... http://efatwa.com/...

For those who are willing to here the Qur'aan in 'Arabic from the Beautiful city Mekkah, you can see a video from this site. http://www.turntoislam.com/forum/showthread.php?t=54

Just to clarify a friend, people started to write Quran during prophet Muhammed's own life time as they sensed if they didn't, many teachings will be lost.
After 200 years, it was when Quran was complied in the order that the longest chapter starts first not the order it was revealed to prophet Muhammed.

I have read the Koran and it is standing beside the other Holy Books. The Koran was not written by Mohamed but 200 years later on I have been told and it is pity, we might have lost the best things of the teaching.
