Sex is important in a healthy relationship, as long as the relationship is between two adults who know the consequences of such pleasure. I think that guys seem to have more of a sex drive, more of the go and get it attitude. But I'm a girl and I think its important. I will never put our on a first date, or second, or even third.. But when in a relationship that is stable and healthy, its important to me. You can definately live an abstinant life, forever, if thats what your lifestyle dictates. But I dont' know why anyone would want to unless you're a preist.

when there is no sex, the relationship falls apart, sex is very important in a relationship or marriage, thats why people that have been together for a while always try to be creative n spice up their sex life. i dont think i can live without sex, i would probably cheat or leave my partner if he couldnt provide me w/ sex... but their are a lot of older people that stay together for companionship... so it varies according to the individual...

Sex plays a big part of sex and when the sex is bad don't worry you'll notice the relationship going downward. No you can't live without it, its a bond and if its with someone you really love then your giving and receiving each others all. And if my significant other could not provide me with sex I would hope that they would have the open mindedness and understand to let me have sexxx with someone else.

sex is very important because if there were no sex you would not be asking this question and I would not be answering! plus it is the best sensation a person can give to another,by way of oral, anal,or plain ole doggie style the orgasm ranks among the highest of pleasures if you were to have a poll.
do you remember when you first learned to masterbate and you had an orgasm? it seemed after that you were masterbating almost every day! every chance you could and in almost any place you could find, so yes it is very important alot of relationships are ended due to sex either lack of or too much.

All relationships are unique. a nonsense that men are seen as much more interested in sex than women! Again we are all different.
Perhaps the real question is why the spark has gone out? Could be health problems, different sex drives, relationship difficulties.
Just for myself, I need loads of sex and if I don't get it at home, that would be a real problem! Would have to look elsewhere...

A relationship without sex can work, a marriage without sex well that is another story.
Men and women are wired to have sex. It is apart of who we are. To go against that is going against humanity. But in dating it is not necessary.

sex is a crucial activity for adult living, like eating, sleeping etc. However at certain stages of life it takes minor role. we forget to think about sex as we forget about eating or sleeping durind stresful times. However we all know that we need it. We migh manipulate ourself saying that love is more important then sex but the truth is they are equally important!
