Sounds like you're always looking for the bigger and better deal. Remind me never to date you.
You want him, he wants you. What's the problem? We all wonder "what if" from time to time, but why act on it? Why even think about acting on it? If you're happy today, and somebody tells you you have a chance at winning a million dollars, and you don't win, who cares? You were happy before they offered it to you, weren't you? So why can't you go back to being happy again?
If you're always looking for something better, and never notice how good things are now, what you're looking for might be worse than what you have.

You are using excuses because you are scared that it won't work out. Date him casually and see how it goes. Taking it slow is not always a bad idea. If he likes you he will not complain. Let him know that you intend to take things slow. If there is something better, than you have the opportunity to explore those options that is the greatness of casual dating.

Well, go on a couple of dates and see where it goes from there. If you don't think that he is what you are looking for then move on. Atleast you made a good friend. You can never have enough friends. Good Luck!!!
