If you are talking about the rhythm method,
To use the rhythm method, you must know the length of your menstrual cycles for the previous year. You can also record changes in your cervical mucus and take your basal body temperature every day before you get out of bed, and chart those changes to understand when you ovulate. Then there are calculations you can do to predict the days of the month that you will probably not get pregnant. If you abstain from sex on the unsafe days, or use a barrier method on those days, you can avoid pregnancy.
You must learn about the rhythm method or talk to a clinician before using it.
It is basically about abstaining from sexual intercourse on the days of the woman's menstrual cycle when she could become pregnant (or using a barrier method of birth control on these days)
But remember there is still a 25% chance that you will get pregnant with the rhythm method. Don't believe a guy who says he can take it out. He probably can, but you can get pregnant by precum too.
ALso watch out for STDs. Best is to carry a pack of condoms.

use contraseptives or just condomise and dont put your health in danger always at no cost but on the condome unless you trust your partner or you did couple HIV test together even if you use contraceptives use a condome

there are several options:
- ask him to use a condom
- take contraception pills
- do it when you are not ovulating
