I got some glasses from my doctor that aren't the right size (too small.) My father refuses to get another frame, so I'm thinking about getting the ones at the bookstore I go to. What's the difference anyway? Do you have to show a prescription when buying them?

The ones in the bookstore magnify only, the prescription lenses are corrective.

The ones at bookstores are just magnifying glasses. They will help you read small print but not correct your vision
