I'm bipolar and I think I understand what you're getting at.. possibly... People who have manic depression experience astounding highs and lows in mood that often surpass those of people who dont have it. It is easy to feel that because of this, we have a better grasp of the full range of human emotions and that it provides us with special insight into human behaviour and feeling.
While I believe this to be true to a certain extent I also must admit that there have been times when manic that I've felt myself to be one of God's 'special creatures', specially made to know more and to feel more than others. This is just as illusory as the feeling that I'm utterly worthless and shouldnt be allowed to breathe the same air as decent people when I'm low.
The truth, as far as I make it, is that yes, manic depression can make one more spiritually aware but it can also make one more spiritually deluded.
If you'd like to know more I can suggest you find some books by Kaye Redfield Jamison who also suffers from bipolar disorder and has a special interest in how it relates to spirituality and creativity. We DO make the best musicians and artists, you know :)

Manic depression is an outdated term that has been replaced with the term "Bipolar Disorder" (according to Diagnostics and Statistics Manual IV)
The term 'bipolar' is representative of the two main symptoms:
- mania, and
- depression
(these happen to be opposite in polarity; hence, the name bipolar)
bi=two,
polar = polarity
mania: is a 'state' that can be described as "flighty" or "speedy" - marked by
hyperactivity, difficulty sleeping, and strong motivational drive
depression: is on the other end of the spectrum - marked by fatigue, lack of motivation, lack of desire, and sadness
There are different types of bipolar disorder. Regardless of the type, they all are marked by a cyclical pattern of mania then depression (or vice versa).
Generally the different types (bipolar I, bipolar II, etc) are indicative of the frequency in which the cycles occur (ranging anywhere from several times a day to every several months
hope this helps
(i had difficulty identifying what specifically you were asking)

PRAY TO GOD TO and see how it works... try to see some comedy shoes and don't care about anybody and just try to be in urself... keep smiling and have FAITH IN GOD
