Imagine there s no heaven
It is easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...
Imagine thereâ s no countries
It isn t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
No religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...
You may say i m a dreamer
But I m not the only one
I hope some day you ll join us
And the world will live as one.

You must be talking about the make believe rapture. Did you realize that the word rapture does not appear in the bible. It was an idea first to come about during the 1800's by a small group of wackos that has now become a mainstream belief for millions of born again fundie wackos. How do I know all this? I used to be one of the wackos.

I would hope that I'd be one of them and in total despair if I miss it for some wrong thing I've ever done and not repented for. Those left behind will be frightened so badly that some will have heart failures and mental breakdowns, because they will know that they have to live through the Tribulation period and that's an awful thought. The Bible says there will be "weeping and gnashing of teeth".

Well, I guess that would mean over 2 billion people in the world are gone...well, the world would be less peaceful.

If I woke up one day and all the Christians had vanished...that would be a sign that they were right and I'd have to change my beliefs.

I am not planning to be here when that happens. I asked Jesus into my heart so when He comes, I'm going to go and meet Him. But if I didn't make it, I'd have to think back to what I have heard and I would really regret it.
By the way, you are talking about the rapture.

I wouldn't have any problem with it as long as all religion were gone. May be it would finally be a peaceful world.
I don't believe in the rapture if that is what your talking about.

Wish them well wherever they went ... and try to repair all the troubles they left behind with their selfrighteousness and condemnations ... much the same as when the Jim Jones Guyana tragedy, and the Hailbob cult tragedy occurred .. us "damned" and left behind would love each other and the earth, as we always have ... and hope that those "raptured" out are okay whereever they are ... we'll accept the meek inheritance left to us- thanks ! ... and the work and faith that it takes to try and make a better life here and now on earth ... I guess we are meek ...
