we are going to ASCOT for sometime and we will be having 2 weekends to enjoy ... Please inform how to remain cheap and visit as many places as possible in London and nearby places. We will be having VISA only for UK.
Kindly also mention places to visit apart from London
PS: kindly also suggest as to what will be the best and cheap mode of travel
Also should we participate in a conducted tour or go on our own.
Help needed as this is our first visit to UK.

Well thanks for the speedy reply .. our stay is taken care of ... we just needs to travel and enjoy .. i will have about 500 Pounds to spend in travelling and sight seeing and i will be having about 2 weekends i.e 4 days to visit and see places...

The best and cheapest form of travel is public transport (subway and main rail). You can stay in hostels or check would Premier Travel Inn. They're the largest hotel chain in the UK and the hotels are very clean and well-kept. Plus the prices are great too. They at least a dozen locations in the London area

What is cheap to you? I mean what's your budget for this trip? London is a very expensive city. It's a great place to visit and i lived there for 3 years.

The best way is to stay at friends.. do not go out for dinner (except to KFC) and by you a weekly bus ticket for around 20,00 Pounds...(exclude the tube.. )

PS: nothing is cheap in the UK

London is all for seeing.Just get on to Tube and get down at a station and it is all worth it.Enjoy weather and company of good people.
