My fiance's family has made it very clear that they don't want to donate any funds to our wedding or otherwise. My family is contributing just enough to cover the cost of the wedding. How do we ask for a honeymoon registry, being that I already have all the other "stuff" typically asked for in a regular gift registry??

We'd like to go to Bermuda and the packages run about $5K - $7K.

Thanks SweetPea (which by the way is my favorite flower!). How did you ask for cash donations and do it so that it was done with respect/class? Sounds like maybe that might be more of a "lucrative" way to approach this, huh?

Check out these websites:
www.honeyluna.com
www.thehoneymoon.com
www.thehoneymoongift.com
It lets you pick out your honeymoon and guests can go to the website and contribute to it or even purchase excursions for you guys to go on.
We thought about doing that, but instead we just charged our honeymoon to a credit card and asked for cash gifts from the wedding guests. We ended up with way more than enough to pay for the honeymoon, have spending money, and then come home and pay more bills. Good luck!
