Christians bug me because they assume I must be as stupid as they are when they try to convert me.

I'm not Christian, and members of my religion are anything but ashamed. We simply don't feel the need to convert people, since there's no reason to. Ours isn't meant to be a religion of the masses - just for the people it calls to.
What gets under my skin about Christian proselytizing is that it often takes on tones of being obnoxious. Instead of being the rather low-key affair that Jesus recommended, many Christians act pushy and rude, which is hardly going to endear anyone. Events become invasively public (which the Bible specifically argues against), and should anyone wish to not deal with it, cries of "Persecution!" arise - which, given Christianity's prominance and power in the US, sounds like a very prima dona complaint.

When you are lead to talk to someone about where they are going to spend eternity, I feel that God has already been dealing with there heart.
When you speak to a person it is suppose to be done in love. When the time is right God will let you know who or when to speak to. For without love, no man shall see God. How can a person come to the true knowledge of Jesus Christ unless the spirit draws them?If you are thirsty you will get a drink of water. If you are searching for truth, go to the word of God," the Bible."

This is the very reason why Christians bug me. Other religions are not ashamed but they don't go around bugging people to convert. Many Christians who go around bugging people are the ones who follow their pastor or preacher blindly. They have never read the Bible and don't even understand its meaning but go thump, thump, thump. I am very secure in my knowledge. I don't need anyone trying to explain anything about God to me. My relationship with God is personal. Who are people like you to come and tell what is right and wrong? Maybe you are wrong.

Christians insist on their right to worship and believe what they want then refuse to leave non believers alone to have the same rights!
What do you not understand about religious persecution? The persecution of innocent people wanting to get on with their lives by Christian zealots!!!!!!
There are countries that have enacted laws against Christian persecution. Perhaps it is time a few Western countries did the same.
Quite interestingly the United Kingdom has an anti harassment law that could be used against such Christian bigots.

When next one of us knocks on your door, please ensure you are noted as a " DO NOT CALL". It will save us all a lot of time and expense. And from then on you will have no further reason to complain. We would love for you to learn the truth, and many humble people will, right up to the time that Jehovah acts. But at that moment, you will be like those who were outside the Ark [Noah's]when God closed the doors. And they perished, with no hope of a resurrection. Believe it or not, unless your attitude changes, you have signed your own death warrant.

How can you expect to be taken seriously about such an unbelievable topic, when you cant even write a clear sentence?
I dont mean to be rude - but people have a hard enough time buying into this fairy take.
Writing gibberish about god only takes credibility away from your cause.
Oh... here is another reason why christians bug me - because they wont stop preaching to people who dont want to listen.

RC isn't from now on unique than Orthodox or lots of the different jap church homes. And Protestants could argue (to an quite great quantity properly) that they restored many unique ideals and practices that the RC and the jap church homes had deviated from. For ex., those Protestants who reject any thought of a priesthood much less bishops or a pope are patently suitable that their perspectives coincide with those of Jesus. besides, you in many cases exchange right into a Christian with the aid of baptism.

Well, thankyou for not badgering me. I do think some Christians are just so full of themselfs. The other day I overheard a man pronouncing rather loud at Walmart that he saved some teenagers by bringing them to Christ. Well "sir" I 'saved some the other day by telling them about birth control and protection. I thought it was funny, him strutting like that. He truly was wearing "shutters!

I'm not ashamed in the slightest that I'm pagan/ wiccan. I'm very proud of that fact. We don't believe in prosletizeing because we believe that there are many paths one can take, if your seriously interested in becomming pagan or wiccan you'll find your way to it. Besides, isn't it kind of rude to insist that someone that you don't even know is somehow not living their life right and you have the one and only way to straighen them out?
Hubris is not a good thing.

Why can't people of all religions accept the fact that the world will never be one religion and move on? Half the people on here keep asking why does one religion/non-religion hate the other? GET OVER IT. I have Christian friends, Catholic friends, Jewish friends, Buddhist friends and Atheist friends. Get a life and stop asking dumb freaking questions.
