I am amazed at the number of people who claim to have no belief in anything or who are anti any faith and leave negitive or unhelpful answers in this category.
I am genuinely asking - why bother if you are not really interested? What makes you spend time in a category that doesn't interest you?
Before you answer though, have a couple of minutes thought - is it that you are genuinely intrigued, perhaps something deep inside makes you curious? If this is the case do you think it could be, as Jesus said at Matthew 5:3 'Happy are those conscious of the spiritrual need', i.e. we have been created with a need to worship.
What do you honestly think/feel?

Laural - isn't that contraditionary? If there is a god, surely one faith must be right - wouldn't god insure that? Surely not all faiths are wrong?

EldaStud - you are a prime example that lead me to my question - Why are you here in this category reading and answering questions if you think it's immature and sad? Is it purely to release anger/hatred?

David M - My, my, someone is angry! I thought this category was religion and spiritruality? Christianity is a religion and aren't you stepping on my human rights telling me to keep my religion to myself? - Do you even know what my religion is?
By the way, churches are emptying because people are not being taught true Christianity - you can obviously see the hypocrisy yourself (hense the anger?).

TO ALL - So, is it that it is your spiritruality not to have spiritruality? - I'm confused.

There has to be a higher power than ourselves. Why would we put ourselves through the trial of day to day life if there was nothing at the end? However, I beleive that God gave us choice and therefore we are free to do with that as we feel right within ouselves.
If your brother says that he doesn't beleive in anything; yet delves into the spiritual nature of things, maybe he's just embarrassed about his need to search for a higher power.
I live in a country where you are premanently bombarded and from time to time even feel threatened that should you not choose Jesus as your saviour you will not go to heaven/paradise; but what about all the religions that do not actually focus on the teachings of Jesus Christ or infact have another name for Him. Do we not live our lives as best we can in peace and harmony with our neighbours and surroundings... what makes a particular group of people more important or special than another? What makes your choice of religion more correct than the man on the opposite side of the table?
Why not accept your brother for who he is and like you, allow him to follow his own spiritual path...wherever it may lead....

I think that many people have many different kinds of faith. Some of it is not so easily expressed by putting it in an organized category such as religion. Some people are unique in their faith. Some just have none. I don't think all negative answers are necessacarily unhelpful. They give you insight into why others don't share your faith. If you honestly want to understand people you have to understand that some will never agree with you. Some will. This is why it is called faith and not fact.

I can only speak for myself, and why do i believe in God:
I was raised in the idea that God does exist, and I had to go to church every Sunday, probably that's why I've always knew that there was someone, who is watching over me, but i had some doubts, naturally, and believe it or not, God made miracles to show me, that he exists, and loves me, and after that, i had absolutely no doubt, that he does, and i reached the point when i truly loved him, as a being, as i love my friends, my parents etc. I was lucky, god had a part in my life since i was a child, an he blessed me with miracles, that enforced my faith.
There was a time when i was intrigued by other spiritual stuff, like magic, but i soon realised that is all mambo jumbo. It is natural to be fascinated by the unknown, and to believe in something that's beyond your limits. No matter what you believe in, if it's Allah, Buddha, God or anything, it's all the same, a deity, a power beyond you! I think, that this affection to believe in something id inside each and every one of us, some deny it's God, they believe in feelings like love or trust or friendship, but it's all the same, loving another person is JUST what God demands, never mind why you do it, by the command of God, or just by your heart. Everybody believes in something, it's the major myth why, i suppose God made us this way!

I think God would be more interested in people who concentrate on being a good person, instead of what church they go to. If Armagedon did happen, then I don't think God would rid the world of good people, just because they do not belong to a certain faith, there are people that never get exposed to any religion due to where they live (remote tribes etc) and it would not be fair to destroy those people. Religion is just another way of man dominating man to his injury, faith and spirituality are more important than belonging to any religious group. It is very big headed and presumptious of any religion to say they are the right one, and that only their members would survive Armagedon, if people concentrated on being good people instead of a good christian/catholic/muslim etc then the world would be a nicer place.

Oh yes!!! The vast majority of us want Christians to go away and enjoy their freedom of worship and belief and give the rest of us the same rights without their persecution!!!
What gives you the right to try and impose your religion on us?
Have you noticed how the churches are emptying? More and more Christians are too embarrassed by the "born again" and religious zealots to carry on being seen with them.
Respect human rights and dignity and keep your religion to yourself and your congregation and respect others rights to believe what they wish to.

I believe in God, and there was a saying "I'd rather to have lived by God and died to find out that He was not real, then to live without Him and find out that He was" And I like the fact that somebody will always look out for me, and that if I make a mistake then somebody will always love me.
And also, last week a bloke from my church offered me a job the perfect job with the perfect money, so there's more than one bonus of going to church!

This is mad world ,but it is good sense to be madly in love with god ,If i close my eyes and ponder on this very important question and the sound of my inner being feels something is lacking in me and that is not achievable by outwardly discussions and relationship of this physical world it is some thing more subtle of the spirit not even "my spirit" but i the spirit if everything i accomplish anything i learn and if i don't put in eternal prospective than i am not a good businessmen the one who earns and looses in this same birth weather its relationship or intelligence. until and unless i haven't understand the cycle of change and eternity definitely the inner being will shout because he has a dought many times this shout is in form of disbelief and rejection but it shows that their is need within . to be aware of spiritual quest is a wise decision this will keep one away from sins and keep you on track to your destination of eternity.
