Najasa refers to impure substances that Muslims must avoid and wash off after coming into contact with them. God says: Purify your raiment (74:4) and: God loves those who repent and who purify themselves (2:222).

Animals that die naturally (e.g., not killed in the Islamic manner) are impure, as is anything cut off a live animal. However, dead sea animals and those that have no flowing blood (e.g., bees and ants) are not impure and the urine, saliva, and blood of all animals whose meat is prohibited (not halal) are impure.

By the above standards dogs are considered impure. Any container that a dog has licked must be completely washed and sterilized. If a dog licks a pot that has dry food in it, what it touched and what surrounds it must be thrown away. would fall under the impure category.

Since dogs are considered impure in Islamic tradition, Muslims do not keep them as pets. (I guess you can say forbid them)

I hope this answered your question.

Muslims consider dog as a unclean animal due to dog's saliva. Also, due to its certain habit (way to urinate, always hanging tongue out etc.) made the dog unclean as compared to cats.

However, for the sake of security and any other purpose dog can be raised and kept but due to presence of dog at home, angels do not enter in that area where dogs are kept.

Islam believes within the right use of animals as they have been created by way of God We have to realise the atmosphere and difference as much less as feasible in any other case we're sure for quandary could milk a horse and experience a cow could you race with donkeys and use a pricey to deliver your items of direction no longer every animal has been created for an maximum function Animals aren't pets they're construction and have been created for a motive Dogs are satisfactory for guarding and searching; they don't seem to be compatible for within the condo Cats are greater have compatibility for bugs and rodents they usually blank themselves in away that they rationale much less dangerous if allowed to move within the condo (however once more no longer as Pets/Toys --- Kids alternative, this isn't why God created them) Pigs are rubbish creditors (don't devour the rubbish collector --- you might have sufficient: sheep, cows, goats, pricey, and so forth) and many others Islam isn't in opposition to puppies as Animals Islam does no longer agree at the having puppies as pets within closed residences (rooms) As for the Blind, a blind guy does no longer desire a puppy within his kitchen and bed room, and so forth.

They don't. Read the Qur'an, I'm a Muslim. Eating pigs is forbidden just like in Judaism so I hope you're not suggesting eating dogs, are you?
