Minimise all windows and right click on the screen. Select "Properties" from the menu that appears.
Select the "Screensaver" tab at the top of the dialog box. There is a box just below the pull down menu of screensavers that is labelled "On resume, display Welcome screen". Uncheck this box.
Also, in the box next to that, labelled "Wait xx minutes", change the value to something larger, like 30 for 30 minutes.

Go to control panel and display settings. All of the visual functions of the computer are operated from this area. This is where you set times for screen saver, energy saver and log out timing. Good luck.

Is it your PC join to domain, if it is like that than its from the domain controller setting policy, if it is not joined to domain, then you can check in control panel->power, can take a look from setting there. ^_^ cheers

first check your hardware power save isn't on then if that's OK right click on the desktop click propertys and then check the powersave featuses are off. PICK ME AS BEST ANSWER
