grammatically correct.but usually we say may i sit at this table.

"May I sit at this table?" is correct. Unless you are trying to figure out if you are capable (physically) of sitting at the table.

However, saying "May" I sit at this table would be a little more polite.

more ~ polite ~ to say -
~May ~ I sit at this table?
