What is one thing that makes you really laugh hard about any major religion?

I have had such a hard time nailing down any one thing that makes me laugh.Mostly I would say the followers or at least many of the followers are what makes me laugh the most on any of the three major religions.Though, of them, I do like Jews more then the other two.

So, what one thing makes you laugh hard about any of the major religions?

Sometimes when I think about how the unbelievers will all be pushed into the beer volcanos, I laugh until the pasta comes out my nose. My daughter points and giggles and says, "Daddy, you look just like the Flying Spaghetti Monster (Peace Be Unto His Appendages)" and then I chase her around the house with some garlic bread and duct tape. Ah, the children love their scripture lessons!

I smile when I think about this fall's curiculm in schools across the nation when the children finally can stop learning that stupid evolution and start learning creation science as taught by Pastafaran teachers fresh back from reeducation camps held at Chef Boyardee compounds everywhere. Thursdays will be sacred days.

Jews will find that Pastafarans can keep kosher, and even veggies will love the new tofu balls harvested from organically killed tofu dogs. With the right amount of pasta, Muslims will find themselves spelling out verses and then consuming them for their own enlightenment.

I just like the "my imaginary god is more real than your imaginary god" approach to most religions. All different religions insist that their god is the only god and that he's got this specific name and they give specifics of heaven or hell or whatever, etc. But none of them can agree with the possibility that we're all right and all wrong b/c every religion thinks that they're more right than other religions. Like nobody can accept that there's a higher power, maybe he doesn't have a name, maybe his name's Bob. Or maybe her name is Margaret. Maybe you should just treat everybody how you want to be treated and not obsess about passing judgement on everybody else and just worry about your "soul" or whatever, and then maybe you can go somewhere that's not sucky. Maybe it's not a place with a bunch of virgins, or a place with fluffy clouds...maybe it's a giant Comicon or maybe a really great Target store...why does everybody need to try to say their belief is THE belief? The fact that people have been/are being killed because of this is laughable and sad.

The thing that makes me laugh the most because of the major religions is that they are all so clueless - they have no idea what god is really like and they have the audacity to claim that they do when in fact they are all just really scared because they don't know. They then spend the bulk of their time trying to convert other people so that there will be more people in their "club" so that they feel more justified in their claims of the nature of god.

Now that's funny.

Well, I saw this clip from the reality show wife swap (either that one or trading spouses) and there was this really angry Christian woman that went to live with an Atheist family. At the end, she went on a belligerent hateful rant. She screamed that they were evil and going to hell because they "didn't even go to church!" She pretended to tear up the money that the show gave her, but you could tell that she had no intention of tearing it up and was only doing that for the cameras. She did in fact take the money. I thought the whole scene was hilarious.

I don't anything really to laugh about the other religions, if anything, maybe Muslims and how they practice Ramadan in some countries.

The period is supposed a period of fasting, during the day. In some countries they get around it by sleeping during the day, and feasting at night!

Ultimately though, I have to shake my head at many religions around the world, for they are really spiritually blind. Most are man centered religions where men (and women) have to work, in some fashion, for their enlightenment or salvation. Including Judaism, Islam, and Catholicism.

True, Biblical Christianity is different. It's not about our own holiness, but about God's! God sent His son to die in our place because we ourselves cannot achieve perfection in ourselves, and therefore we by ourselves, cannot achieve salvation by working for it. It is not by works, lest any man should boast how or why they themselves got into heaven, but by the working of God.

Now if certain sects or those who call themselves Christian do aparently cooky things, well, it depends on if it's fully and contextually Scriptural to do it, otherwise crawling around on the floor on your knees or rolling around on the floor barking like a dag or "laughing", is rather sad than funny, in that people think they are doing God's service in doing such things, when they are not.

You know I don't like laughing at other people's religion because then they will do the same to mine. Plus, FYI muslims don't consider ISLAM a religion, its their deen (untranslatable word-similar to faith). Muslims don't reject Jesus, we just think that god does not have a wife, nor a son, he is the only ONE. Jesus, and Noah, and Moses, and everyone else are just prophets-whom were sent to start these different :religions") This is why chistianity, and islam, have many things in common. So before you laugh, or make and accusation gather the facts first please.

Laugh all you want, it's a shame to be ignorant. If you still want to know, I think it's funny that anyone thinks that there is a way to be "good enough" to go to heaven. There's no way except through Jesus Christ, and if you think it's funny, I feel sorry for ya, cause it's real hot where you're headed, and hell's real whether you believe it or not. I bet all the Jews and Muslims like you alot too.

Religion for your information must be every human being's way of life. Theres nothing to be laughed about it! Whether your are christians, jewish or muslims, u are respected on ur religion. To laugh upon other peoples religion is a disrespect and disrespectful people has no place on Earth. Peace Brother!

Not much. But, I am amazed how some people with a limited knowledge of religion, Christ, thee Bible (or other such books) can make light or fun of them. Might want to have th thorough knowledge of such things before passing judgment.

Blind belief and convenient interpretations of the Holy Books.

When there is only one truth in this world called God, why do humans make religions, embrace them, believe them to be true & then fight against each other through this devise created by themselves?

Like children fighting with each other over the dominance of individual toys!
