I think that sweet, and if I ever get married, I would take the last name of my lover in a heartbeat! What is wrong with the world today, you should be so flattered, that you must be on the moon right now, but instead you sid behind your computer!!!
Go to your fiance and tell her, she is the best of all. She would give up her own family name, to take yours and really become your wife!!!!!
Congratulations.....

In my opinionhe needs to keep his role as man and keep his last name. in taking yours its like giving you the pants in the family. I would be very uncomfortable if a man asked to take my last name. A name carries legacy and whether its good or bad right now there is good back in his history worth representing and if he cant see that he has some baggage you dont want to carry into a marriage yet.

IS this what us men have come to? Is this the new politically correct bullshlt that is our US? It's bad enough with double names like Smith-Evans. But now a MAN wants to take a woman's name? Holy S***!! This is unbelivable, you are a shame to men. You are the top of the pyramid when it comes to being a pathetic pansy.

I think it depends on the situation. I'm going to take my future husband's last name because my father was abusive, but if the situation were reversed, I would fully accept him taking my name. If you just want to take her name and there's no other reason behind it, then it comes down to her and her beliefs about marriage.

You should probably just sit down and discuss it with her. :)
