I'm not sure, but I seem to remember being told by a guy I met in Cape Town last year that Luxembourg consumes the highest amount of wine per head than any other country? I had been on the wine route for 2 days though, so my memory may well be blured! lol

It's Russia, the government recently released a health warning because so many people where dying of liver failure.
They said that people have admitted to substituting alcohol (because they can't afford the real thing) with paint stripper, petrol, even perfume!!!!!!
Aparently in department stores they don't have perfume samples on display because people nick it to drink!!!!!!

Britain, especially in peacetime with all of HM forces at home!

The Czech Republic enjoy their beer. So do the Germans and the Brits. I would say the Czech Republic.

I would say France . . they conume wine with every meal (sometimes even with breakfast)
