some people say it is healthy, and it probably is -- in 3rd world or poverty type countries.

in modern society or developed places, where people wash regularly, it is not necessary, and probably causes the baby to have more hang-ups later in life due to the painful (done without anaesthetic normally) procedure.

Humans and animals are different when it comes to that.

However, circumcision is an arguable debate on whether it is good/healthy to do or not.

Some parents feel circumcising is pointless and stupid while others argue it should be done.

If the argument is why not pets, then the same answer is the same as humans having different view points.

Just as if we spay/neuter our pets, why can't we spay/neuter people (with out their consent since that is what we do to pets)? Always will open up an argument when it comes to Human v.s Animal Rights.

How can it be good, cutting someone up? Healthy?
If your showering regularly, how should it be an issue?
So I agree with you, we don't do pets, cause there is no need to do it at all.
Religious freaks cutting people everyday, I'm sure they might change their mind if it had not been imposed on them at birth, and given the choice to have the operation today....
