I think you just met with rude ppl.

Not ALL SINGAPOREAN are Rude. Dont generalised people just because u've encounter with few incidents.

Maybe, u were too demanding at the first place or you are one of the difficult customers for them to handle which therfore, the cant really entertain you so u think they rude?

I lived and visited other parts of the world before; Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Middle East and Oklahoma. I've encountered rude people before and this dosent change my perceptions on people (in general) of these countries.

Why dont you see yourself first before putting blame on other ppl. Do you believe in Karma? what you give is what u get...

I have been to Singapore for business trips a few times and I had meals in hawker centre and also in nice restaurants and I do not recall any bad experience I've got there. Usually, I don't expect 5 stars services in a hawker centre, you pay what you get.

By the way, I would say .... posting a question like this is kind of rude to the Singaporeans. Not every Singaporean is working in shopping mall or hawker centre, you just have met some rude employees! Take it easy and you would be a lot happier in Singapore

Not all Singaporeans are rude, as some people here say. I did not have the luxury of having opportunities to travel overseas until when I started working myself.

And when I finally get the chance to visit different countries for vacation, as well as for long stays due to work commitments. There are societies and cultures in which people are so many times ruder than the rudest fellow Singaporean I have ever encountered. My apologies, but yes, I have also encountered very rude Indonesians in your home country. But let's not generalise.

You are plain unlucky, I believe..

Singaporean are tighted down with many commitment. Anywhere you go, you need money! Especially this few years, price of everythings is increasing except salary! 10 years ago, when you worked as driver, your salary is about $1200 to $1500. Now, a driver are still getting about $1200....if you work and whatever you earn can't even maintain your basic needs....I can understand why no smile on their face.

part of it is just the fast paced culture..
I've been to singapore many times, but not all are rude..
I got a lot of nice and polite singaporean friends.

just a wee bit difficult to understand (with the singaporean english),
as they keep adding 'lah' in the end of their sentence.

Don't be like that lah..
:p
