See that the vehicle is a blessing.

After the publicity of that I am sure something will work out for you. Try getting some assistance from your local churches and salvation army for food and clothing. Try family members to help alttile just until you can get your self established with work.

When you buy things try to buy things on sale and use coupons. Buy meals that can stretch and non food items in bulk. All these people that are degrading you are cruel and disrespectful. You need your transportation it is a must for you to look for jobs, take the children to childcare, it is a necessity. The turmoil of the assistance is frustrating, and the priority of providing for your home is a must. If you find something part time to work, these hard times will turn to better times. There is Hope and there is a blessing coming for you soon. Be patient. Something good is about to happen and start counting your blessings. I pray that something will come through for you. Keep you chin up and don't listen to all that negative stuff it will only drain you and depress you. God bless you and take care.

I think the state is very selfish! They don't realize that you didn't PAY that much for the car and that it was FREE. They should have at least let you prove that it was won. I guess you are suppose to have a crappy car that doesn't run half the time and isn't dependable. Then you would be stranded and on that note they could say that you were an unfit mother by not having a dependable vehicle.I wish I could help you. It seems as if no one realizes that it costs a lot of money to have a babysitter and then try to work, you just starting out would be very hard to do. I wish you all the luck in the world!

How about that reporter with no neck? I think it is unfortunate that you are in that situation. You probably shouldn't have asked if you could put the car in someone elses name. Asking only gives them a chance to say no. Since the car is free and you have small children to worry about, I think you should consider selling it. You can get a nice new car for approx.$10,000 in my state, I assume you could get a similar price there. New KIA here has a 10 year 100,000mile warranty. You would have at least $15,000 left over from the sale of the Toyota, and that's after you bought a new car. I am sure it is nice to drive around in a $40,000 car, as I drive a 22 year old Volvo worth $200 trade in, but is it more important than your children's nutrition and health?

You are NOT making sense. YOU WOULDN'T HAVE A CAR NOTE! You could get CASH in your area for that Avalon...and quick. Probably around $30,000 outright. Take $7000 of it and get a decent used vehicle. You'd pay less insurance, too.rTake $10000, and put it into 2 interest bearing accounts....$5000 in each....for those girls. Put the rest in the bank...and GET A JOB! You gotta be KIDDING me with this "I gave birth to them" and "your kids are only young once" crap!! What about the rest of us? My ex-husband walked out when my son was 11 mos old. So Don't EVEN try to say I don't understand. I put myself through nursing school. I worked 11p-7a and went to school from 7:30a-2p. Came home, took care of my 3 yr old, and took a nap from 8-10:30 before I went back to work. WHY?? BECAUSE MY SON IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN ME! Who do you think you are to expect ME and everyone else who goes to work every day to pay for you and your kids? I can't STAND freeloaders like you! It's called "working the system", and it is a sad, lazy excuse. If you are physically able to work, you should be doing just that. Like everyone else. Public assistance is for those who have no other choice....not for those who just choose not to work! What, we the hardworking public owe you a living? No....now you owe US! I'm GLAD you were denied. It's about time the system finally worked!!

Good luck, that’s not fair, the system is a constant work in progress. I hope the people whose job it is to help the less fortunate do there job and not punish someone for catching a break and getting a nice car that she could not ordinarily afford.

If you sell your car for around $35,000 and get another one for around $10,000 how do you figure you would have a car payment? and use the other money to live off of and when it runs out then go and apply for assistance. Don't you get it us tax payers are tired of supporting non working people. You had a choice of laying your a_s_s down for someone that wasn't going to support his sex habits I didn't get the pleasure of screwing you so I should have to pay its just that simple.

Let me ask you if this REALLY is the person in that story... You looked fine to me. Didn't see any serious medical issues. Does your back hurt? Where's the father of your 2 kids? Does he pay support?

Get off your *** and get a job because I don't want to pay for your kids. I have my own children to worry about becides yours.

Honey, that is a beautiful and expensive car.. BUT your babies are MORE beautiful! Sell/Trade in your car for something less expensive.

Honestly.. if you don't get rid of it, it'll probably get stolen or broken into anyways. Then you will really be screwed. So just get rid of the blasted car, and get yourself a less expensive, but still decent car.

God bless!

That totally sucks!!! That's not fair at all! They do realize the purchase price was ZERO DOLLARS right? I could understand if you bought it, but man....anything to try to screw someone that really needs it out of getting assistance, huh? And people that don't really need it get it all the time. Just want you to know I am praying about your family and your situation. :)
