Why is gas so expensive?

Because of the war in Iraq. It gave the gas companies the ability to charge higher prices for gas. Also, there's a shortage of gasoline too. Even if the war ends and the troops all return home, the gas prices will remain high because the gas companies already know people are willing to pay for gas at the price it is now.

Supply and demand also keeps gasoline prices high. As long as consumers of gasoline continue to drive vehicles with low MPG ratings and continue to be "lead footed" in their driving styles, prices will remain high because the demand for gasoline remains high.

Because oil companies are run by evil and greedy old men who were born into money and greed.They were raised to take,take,take and as long as they are the wealthiest people on their block,theyre happy.Thats cool though because kharma is real and they will one day pay for the madness theyve caused the world.But thats just my opinion.
