My mother is almost 80 and her only conversation is on death. She has no health problems and is active. She still lives in her own home.

All their friends have died or are dying.

They are the last of their family alive.

My mother is 68 an constantly talks about it.

My mom taught me from a very young age that death is part of life. Everyone will have a begin as an end.

I just always was fascinated by death. Whether seeing gory accidents or watching autopsies.

The only thing that bothers me about death is torture and babies. but, I'm a softy when it comes to that.

However, I will be an old women discussing "The worms go in the worms go out and the worms go in and out your snout" just as my g-ma and mom says. (ha ha).

Death brings sadness and pain. However, some people are able to talk and deal with death due to their upbringing/understanding.

- older people tend to repeat themselves more
- older people think about death more, since they are approaching that time in their lives, and it could happen any moment
- she may be wanting you to listen or just strike up convo and get some relief from her own thoughts for a while.

she just feels that her time is nearly up. there's nothing more to think of but just that. unless she goes out or you can just change the subject. talk about something else. I'm sure old people love to talk about their history.

She knows it's coming relatively soon and probably most of her friends and husband have already died. It's the biggest thing in her life now.
