depending on what state you are from, if she is over 16, and no more then 5 years difference, then you two could date. If her parents dont have a problem with it, then i say date her. If they do, wait entil shes 18... My boyfriend is 5 yrs older then me, and we have been dating since I was 15. I think what won my parents over was when he came to pick me up, he came right up to my parents and introduced himself, and even asked what time they wanted me home by...
maybe you could do the same if her parents have a problem with the age thing.

Wait until she's 18. Be platonic friends and just get to know each other until then. The more time you spend to establish a friendship, the better you get to know each other and the more time you have to figure out whether there's actually anything more worth pursuing, and the stronger the friendship, which is important to establish anyway in a good relationship.

Depends what's your intentions are... if you want her for a quick lay, best not to pursue anything romantic until she's 18. But if you respect her age and get along and know your boundaries, then go for it. Hope she's a mature 17 year old though. :)

Wait till she's 18, unless you want the chance of jail time & a blacklisted as a sex offender. It's worth the wait.

I think you should go for it, but be careful. My cousin was 16 and was engaged to a 20 year old, but she was killed in a carwreck a month ago. Just go ahead if you like her you like her and there isnt anything you can do about it, but dont get into any trouble.... lol, go for it and HAVE FUN!!! hope this helps

my ex has the same situation and her mom doesnt even know bout it....i wuld say wait till she turns 18...if u like her alot and she likes u a lot then u 2 can wait....just dnt hurt her feelings cuz if she has a big bro or sis they might hurt you...just a warning

well if it were me and I thought I loved her I would go for it! Just be careful because having sex before shes 18 Im not sure what your state laws are but always protect yourself . Im sure its ok to date though!
