First you have to keep the cat in the house. Once you get all the fleas gone, letting her out is inviting them all back in.
My brother was allergic to fleas and the flea treatments. This was before Advantage and Frontline, so if you haven't already, try one of those. Get them from a vet.
We ended up vacuuming. Everything, everywhere, constantly. Three times a week for at least 2 weeks or so. You have to vacuuming every inch of your floor, even the uncarpeted bits. Concentrate on base boards and under furniture. Wash the cats bedding. Wash your bedding and vacuuming your bed.
After you start seeing less fleas, you can stop vacuuming so much, but you will want to keep it pretty frequent during summer. Summer is flea season, notice there is no cheerful carols or costumes involved with this part of the year.
It is labor intensive, but worth it in the end. Good Luck
PS. If your allergy is that sever, ask your doctor about treatment options.

Def talk to your vet, a phone call won't cost any money...I'm almost positive there is a treatment for sensitive skinned cats...or try the pills if there really are some. Also, for yourself, Skin So Soft body oil from Avon in the blue/green bottle as I told someone else. Fleas and mosquitos hate it! You can got to a vitamin store or even Walmart and get a garlic supplement, most can't be smelled by humans, but the fleas taste it and run. Good luck! P.S. Home Depot has a non scented insect spray that I use for ants, see if it works on the fleas. But I'm sure you know, don't let your cat around it til it dries.

Is your cat an inside-only cat, or does he or she go outside as well? I ask because, when your cat gets fleas, he or she gets them from somewhere. Sounds obvious? Well, basically, even if you get all of the fleas off of the cat, the poor bestie is just going to go walk by wherever it got them from in the first place. If you want your cat flea-free, it's important to treat your whole home and your yard if he or she goes outside, as well as to remember that flea treatments need to be repeated so as to kill any flea eggs.

Have you been to see a vet with your cat? The veterinarian might suggest a pill, which I am told works very, very, very well for killing and preventing fleas.

My cat is very old and very sensitive...Use Frontline Plus(the plus is important!) Not only does it repel fleas and ticks, but also prevents eggs/juveniles from maturing into reproducing adults. Great stuff...a little costly though (maybe $ 30 for 5mos.) but WELL worth it. You put a spot between shoulder blades. Best price at Jeffers(a mail catalog-check google for online store). You may also have to bomb your home if it's that infested...use them for that stuff too!! Once under some control....Frontline is all you'll need. OK>> google www.jefferspet.com>>will link to store.

You know i have 5 cats, and off course many fleas, so everyday i always kill all the fleas with my bare hands, and the sound it makes when being killed really intrests me, and it saves boredom.

Soft Flea Collar. Buy it from the vet or any good pet shop.

Best bet is to ask your vet. They will be able to suggest something that isnt too harsh on the cat or you. They may even be able to keep her while she's being treated to monitor her in case she has a reaction...that way she can be taken care of right away.

You can try a flea collar.

And I believe they have pet meds that repell fleas.

Try those.
