Hi..
You should explain to your son that he is not doing something good. It might be a bit difficult for him to understand this fact as he is still young. I would advice you to try and make him stop this habit as soon as possible as he might continue with this even when he grows up. I am telling you this because i have witness such a thing once. You might be shocked to hear that a man of around 32 years was behaving in such a way in front of several people. Am sure you will be able to make him stop this. But you should be patient as it might take quite some time. By the grace of God everything will be everything. Wish you best of luck.

Avoid giving any attention when he does it. My guess would be you're giving a lot of positive reinforcement whenever he hits his head...
Thus Hit Head = Mommy Attention. Need to break that habit as hard as it may be.

My oldest daughter used to do something like that. For her it was a security thing. She would literally put herself to sleep by hitting her head against the bed . Used to scare me. So I decided to put books under her head and she would not stop. so I decided to let it go, and she eventually outgrew it. Give it time, I'm pretty sure your son will too.

My little brother used to do that when he was a baby/toddler! My parents just let him do it till he quit! Now he doesn't do it anymore! Believe me...he'll stop when it starts to hurt! Just let him outgrow it!! Hope that helps...
