some nurses and some doctors think we are quackers but we are for real.

Because it is an invisible illness with no concrete tests. It is very hard for many doctors and nurses to see the grey when they are so used to seeing the black and white.

Sadly, FMS ends up being a "catch all" for all the aches and pains they can't explain. And since it is "connected" to depression....it automatically becomes a mental illness rather than a physical one. Which, those who have it or any other invisible illness know it isn't the case.

I am sorry you are going through this. I have APS, another Invisible Illness. I get treated the same way. :(

Probably because alot of people who suffered in the beginning didn't know what was wrong and doctors actually thought they were hypochrondriacs with all the aches and pains. There is more and more evidence showing up now with research that we are not kidding about how we feel:

Doctor takes stigma out of 'yuppie flu'
By Deborah Haile

Dr. Raymond Perrin believes he has proof that chronic fatigue syndrome - once dubbed yuppie flu - has a physical cause.

For years sufferers of CFS - which includes ME - have lived under the stigma of being diagnosed with a condition that many dismissed as being in the mind. But Manchester osteopath Dr. Perrin believes he has proved that the debilitating syndrome is the physical result of the way the body deals with toxins.

He believes a picture of varicose lymphatic vessels taken during a research project at Salford University shows for the first time the "backflow" of lymphatic drainage that he believes is the cause of toxin build-up.

And it is this accumulation of toxins in the central nervous system, which Dr. Perrin believes is the cause of conditions such as chronic fatigue syndrome and ME.

Valves

Dr. Perrin, who runs clinics in Prestwich, central Manchester and London, said: "Normally these vessels are the size of the thinnest pencil line and you can't usually see them without a magnifying glass, but the fact they are swollen like this is significant. There is a backflow against the valves.

"Very rarely can you see these, but with every person I have seen in the last 16 years with chronic fatigue syndrome you can feel them under the surface. It means this person has had ME for a number of years."

Until now experts have believed that valves in the lymphatic vessels only allowed the flow of fluids in one direction. But Dr. Perrin says these varicose lymphatic vessels - which resemble varicose veins but are the same colour of the skin instead of a bluish colour - are the proof that the backflow exists, when vessels are damaged, allowing toxins to concentrate in the central nervous system. He revealed the picture at a seminar at Salford University. He hopes to publish it in a respected medical journal later in the year.

Margaret Cannon, who had to give up work because of the condition, said: "After about three months of Raymond's treatment my concentration was restored and the symptoms improved greatly."

Yes, it is true that fibromyalgia is a fringe diseases. It will, in time, be more acceptable. Even now, it is a vague concept, with many variables.

There are some fantastic websites filled with interesting information. I will include some for you.

May peace fill your body, dear one.

Probably because it takes alot of testing to get an accurate testing. Most doctors & nurses are too lax in their patients care. They don't like to listen to the barrage of complaints/ailments. So they ignore the patient.

I think maybe it is because fibromyalgia is only a list of symptoms. One reader said they could only treat fibromyalgia by finding what the root cause was. For the most sufferers, fibromyalgia may start from Lyme Disease. If it can start from more than one place then a one kind of cure fits all is difficult. It may take several healing modalities to overcome fibromyalgia.

I put together a list of several...

Forgiveness: Forgive youself and others of any harm done to yourself or others

Forgiving is forgetting...not just forgiving and putting it in a bag to take out later...and use against yourself or others. I have a couple of memories that I will pull out of my memories to abuse myself with. When I get those memories, sometimes I abuse myself by rehearsing, "I hate myself." I know my body hears this message and it effect my life. When that voice or spirit of self abuse begins calling me, I ask Yah to forgive me although that was already done and then I forgive myself. When I follow through to self-forgiveness, the results are less physical pain. I am generally a vey positive person and I lived with chronic and deblitating pain for over 20 years. If it was not for forgiveness, I believe I would not be here today. I lived with 5-7 pain for 20 years and for about 5 of those years, I was living with 7-9 pain(10 being death). In a state of forgiveness, the ringing in my ears from pain subsided.

Niacin: A special form of Niacin called Inositol Hexanicthinate is a natural way to give the body what it needs for forgiveness. I can't explain that well but lack of forgiveness resides in a place of the body that can be influenced by Niacin. Inositol
is a form that doesn't affect the gut in the way that other forms of Niacin do.

Pain is not a disease but a rather a warning signal from our body to change. If my body is sending me a red flag, pain, I know that I am supposed to find a solution but
masking the pain with drugs is only a temporary solution. If we were a car and our warning light came on, we would look to see if we have water and oil first and check to see if your battery(pH) was okay. Human bodies are much the same.

Make sure to drink lots of distilled water every day with a pinch of unrefined sea salt or use Owen's recipe of putting 12 grains of rice in a 1 gallon glass container
for mineralized water.

Raw Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar is a great acid that make one alkaline. A battery low on acid will begin becoming very acidic. Drink a glass of unsweetened appl juice, grape juice, or carrot juice with a tablespoon of raw unfiltered apple cider with a dash of cinnamon, turmeric, cayenne, or whatever your gut tells you every day.

Gut intelligence is important. Ask your gut what it needs and learn to listen. Stick with whatever you are doing though to get complete results. One tablet of fulvic acid, one time, is probably not going to cure FIBROMYALGIA.
