You are NOT less loved, but the love is shown in different manners for each child..usually to fit what they need at the time. There are NO siblings that do NOT think the other is loved more..."Mom always liked you best" thing. Relax, the 1st born is always treated differently, expectations are higher, the discipline is harsher, the reins are held tighter. The parent proves he/she can be a good parent with the first child..will following children, the parents are more relaxed, not as strict, etc. It doesn't mean they love less, and in fact, often means they have a special place for the eldest...and why not? This is the "proof case." Enjoy what your parents have given you, and do not begrudge what they give the younger. Good luck

Buck up bro... can't change things in a day. It may seem that they care for you less, but you have to realize that you haven't been in their lives for ten years. They may be nervous or a bit frightened. Give it some time. Both your family and you have to cope with the change.

Even speak with them about it. Plan things with your family to "get to know" each other better after the seperation, etc.

It's all up to you to make things better. A burden, yes, but if you were away for 10 years, you seem mentally strong enough to do it.

I wish you luck.
