No.. nobody is going to punish you if you miss weekly mass.

Perhaps it is better use of time to do something like read, meditate or talk to Jesus personally in a way you enjoy rather than sit in a dusty church hearing a meaningless sermon.

Do what feels best for you.

We are required to "Honor the Sabboth and keep it holy", "not forsake the fellowship" along with a few other things traditionally met at Sunday Service.

If you are unwilling or unable to meet your spiritual needs at your local Church on Sunday, it becomes even more important that you know your Bible and what God does (and doesn't) ask of you.

Even the Pharasee's believed in Jesus, they just didn't understand or accept his diety or his gift to the world. Read Romans 5 and 6 (or better yet, all of Romans - it is not that long) to better understand how you and your actions relate to your salvation. If you believe in Jesus Christ you have something in common with Satan and his angels, for they to believe in Him as well.
Now. if you also have repented truly of your sins, and have made a commitment to follow in the footsteps of Jesus then He is there inside of you.
Forget religion. It has lead many down the dark path to destruction.
Stay in the light. Study your KJV 1611 Bible. And enjoy the blessings God will bestow on you through Jesus Christ the Lord.><>

You're responsibility is to die to yourself, and serve God. You have to understand that your traditions are what makes you feel guilty right now. I am not attempting to get you out of them, but at least know that the most important thing about your Christian life is your direct relationship with your Lord.

If you allow someone else to be mediator between you and God, those traditions have just interfered with that relationship.

If you can do no other thing, remember, it's all about you and Jesus. He's the one who all eyes are on for salvation. He's the one who's been given all authority and power in Heaven and Earth.

Remember, keep your eyes on Jesus!

There is no such thing as believing in Jesus Christ. He was person. Do you believe I exist? No. You see me and you know I'm here. (Imagine we are actually talking) That is so annoying how Christians say they believe in Jesus when they should really just say something like "I'm a faithful Christian" or "The Lord is in my soul" or some crap like that. Keep that in mind.

"Being in a garage doesn't make you a car," nor does walking into mass make you a catholic. Do you live your life as you have been taught? Do you attempt to be a good neighbor to others? Do you give to the poor? Do you pray each night?

As a conscientious catholic, it would be good to see you at church for fellowship and worship...but do the best you can...that is what I do...I think God knows what's in your heart and sees how you care for those around you...

You are a Catholic I take it, Jesus will forgive you, all you have to do is help out a homeless person or help an elderly man or woman. You get Holy Spirit credits that way.

As the bible say.." Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that comes out of the mouth of God." One of the ten commandments.."Remember the sabbath day and keep it holy." We need to hear the words of God (through mass) and God gave us 6days for work..let is offer one day for Him. Hope this helps. God bless!

You can believe and not go to church every week...in fact, isn't the true church in your heart and in your Bible? (JESUS) What if there weren't any churches, you could still have God with you all of the time.

Church can help with having friends to fellowship with and to learn from, help each others, etc....
